3 Further information Airports Berlin Schönefeld (SXF): 20 km, ca. 30 minutes, airport transfer available with private coach or taxi at any times requested Berlin Tegel (TXL): 20 km, ca. 40 minutes, airport transfer with private coach or taxi at any times requested Transfers & additional options Arrival/departure by plane: On the day of arrival our Meet & Greet-Service welcomes each student at the customs exit and ensures a safe transfer to Berlin. If you would like our staff to pick up the student from the airline on arrival and to be taken directly to the check-in desk please inquire about our service for Unaccompanied Minors. Arrival/departure by train: A train station transfer can be provided from/to Berlin Hauptbahnhof / Central Station. On the day of arrival our Meet & Greet-Service welcomes each student at the station and ensures a safe transfer to the Centre. On the day of departure, we will take you to the train. Arrival: Sunday between 14:00 and 22:00 Departure: Saturday between 8:00 and 11:00 Early/late arrival and/or departure a supplement of 15 will be charged (one way) Please note: transfers are not included in the package! 4 Residential Accommodation Accommodation in a hostel renovated in 2011 Multi-bedded rooms (4 students per room) with toilet and shower facilities en-suite If possible, they will share a room with students who speak a different native language than their own. Rooms are lockable with one key per room. Full-board accommodation in the residence including breakfast, lunch and dinner (packed lunch for excursions) Bedding is provided and changed weekly Towels are not provided Rooms are cleaned daily Public phone booths in town Laundry (5 Euros) Plug adaptor is necessary for international students Safe available at the centre reception for free Single and double rooms are available upon request (additional fees apply). Lessons available: o Intensive German (20 lessons per week), level A2 - C1 Lessons take place in the residence or nearby Placement Test on the 1 st day of class, lessons from Monday to Friday Teaching material provided Certificate at the end of the course All our courses follow the European Framework of Reference Levels Levels on offer: Lower Intermediate (A2), Intermediate (B1) Upper Intermediate (B2), and advanced (C1). Studies of the German language of at least two years are obligatory. (Beginners cannot not be accepted) No more than 12 students in a group, average 10 students All teachers are native speakers and experienced in teaching their native language to foreign students

5 Supervision Our friendly and helpful International Team with staff members from England, Spain, Germany, France and other countries will run a supervised activity programme and guarantee supervision. There is one supervisor responsible for 15 students. The members of our team have been carefully selected for their responsible and caring attitudes, as well as their fun-loving and outgoing personalities. They are the people your students can turn to at any time for assistance. Trips and Programme 4 afternoon activities & sightseeing One full-day excursion on Wednesday One get-together evening activity per week e.g. cinema, disco, dinner On the first day, all students take part in the City tour Berlin Chill out on Saturdays (time for individual activities) Full-Day trips Potsdam Brandenburg s capital city of Potsdam borders Berlin and is famous for its unique historic palaces and gardens. The most popular site is Sanssouci Palace. Potsdam s largest palace, the New Palace is also worth a visit. In addition to the palaces, there is also a memorial and documentation place as well as the Wannsee Conference, which demonstrate part of Germany s history. Spreewald The Spreewald, a historical cultivated landscape, is located in the East of Brandenburg. It is one of the most famous and beloved destinations in Germany. The terms Spree and Wald (i.e. the river and its woodland) are applied to an unspoiled inland delta with an extremely compact network of waterways that branches out 100 kilometres in total. These waterways are the perfect excuse to jump in rowing boat or take part in a canoe tour. En route, participants can admire the wonderful and diverse nature that surrounds them. Berlin Berlin is Germany s capital and a European metropolis. Its historic sites and museums such as the Museumsinsel (The Museum Island) which includes the Alte Museum, the Neue Museum, the Pergamon Museum, and the Egyptian Museum are a highlight for any tourist travelling through Berlin. Following the famous avenue Unter den Linden, you will reach one of Berlin s greatest landmarks, the Brandenburg Gate. Just around the corner from the Brandenburg Gate is the Reichstag with its marvellous glass dome that is open to the public. If you d like to visit the highest, publicly accessible building in Europe, just go up the Television Tower and take in the breath taking view of the capital and its surroundings. After having immersed yourself in Berlin s culture, you can go on a stroll through the numerous stores and shopping centres. Kurfürstendamm and the Europa Centre are the most popular places for shopping.
