1 Jungle Tree page 1 Instructions 1. The Jungle Tree is a 3-D project that is created in 2 sections, then put together with matching slots. Each section requires FOUR large square pegboards to be assembled as shown. The base also uses the same four assembled pegboards. The additional creatures use a single large square pegboard. 2. Cut out the individual quadrants of the patterns and tape them together so that you can see the whole design at once. If you re using clear pegboards, slide the actual-size pattern underneath them. Now place all the beads for your project. 3. Cover the completed design with the ironing paper. Keeping the iron level, gently iron the beads in a circular motion for about 10 seconds to fuse the beads evenly. Ironed properly, the beads will still have an open center. On a 3-D project such as this, DO NOT OVER-IRON the beads as it will make the centers of the beads close and can make assembly difficult. 4. Once the design is cool, peel off the ironing paper. Lift your design from the pegboard; flip the design over and repeat step #2. Your pegboards and ironing paper are reusable. 14 ASSEMBLY 1 Insert Section 2 Tree into the slot in the base. page Turn the Section 1 Tree at right angles to the Section 2 tree. Align the slots and slide together. Insert the grasses and flowers into the slots in the base. Section 1 Tree 4 Perch the parrots, snake, and monkey in the tree as desired. Section 2 Tree Grass Grass 5 6 Add the alligator s feet by turning them at right angles to the body and sliding the feet onto the body. Place the alligator and the turtle in the river. Welcome to the jungle!
