They have longer lasting performance than metal enclosures, and are less costly in the long run. CONSTRUCTION Royal s PVC Enclosures are much lighter than metal enclosures, approximately less than half their weight. Smooth corners and edges make them easy to handle and install at a jobsite. The box is made from solid, one-piece PVC II construction with reinforced welded joints for a durable installation. The opening is sealed with a PUR-foamed seal for maximum protection. Screw style or hinged covers are available. PERFORMANCE PVC Enclosures perform well with no deterioration. The enclosure is sunlight, dirt and moisture-resistant, which prevents weathering and keeps wiring clean and operational. CORROSION PROOF Resistant to most chemicals, PVC is typically not affected by corrosive soils or salts. NON CONDUCTIVE The non-magnetic and non-galvanic properties of Royal Building Products PVC Enclosures provides superior insulation and no power loss or conductor heating. FIRE RESISTANT The PVC II material used for Royal Building Products Enclosures meets the UL 94V-0 Flammability Standard - limiting flaming combustion to no greater than 10 seconds with no flaming particle discharges. IMPACT RESISTANT Royal Building Products enclosures are made from tough, durable, high tensile strength PVC. 2 SPECIFICATIONS Royal Building Products Electrical Solutions complete line of Electrical Non-Metallic PVC Enclosures is manufactured to meet UL 50 Standards as certified by ETL. NEMA 4X rated enclosures are for indoor or outdoor use, primarily to provide a degree of protection against corrosion, windblown dust and rain, splashing water and hose directed water per NEMA Standard DESIGN ADVANTAGES OF ROYAL PVC ENCLOSURES Pur Foam memory retaining gasket provides a watertight and dust-tight environmental seal CODES AND STANDARD COMPLIANCE Per UL 50 as tested by ETL, Royal Building Products PVC Electrical Enclosures meet NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 3S, 3X, 4, 4X ratings. Made from grey engineered PVC II material, with fabricated bases and covers. PVC II material meets Outdoor Stability standards as measured by UL 746C f1, providing UV and water immersion testing. PVC II material is stable at 194 F as rated on PVC conduit products. The door has a PUR-foamed seal. The PVC is UL94V-0 rated, with the enclosures built to withstand NEMA 4X performance as tested and listed by ETL. PVC material allows the use of standard solvent cements for ease of fitting attachment. PVC Type II material with uni-body construction and penetration welding provides a strong, durable enclosure. Corrosion-resistant enclosures satisfy the requirements of Type 4X, and are suitable for food processing plants, dairies, refineries, water, waste and chemical processing, and any other industries where corrosion is prominent.
