The PLS (Plasma Lighting System) is a new concept of lighting utilizing the principle of plasma light emission through microwaves. Its core aim is to provide a lighting sensation worldwide, using the new and different technology of the light source. LG Electronics have successfully paved the way to the commercialization of this PLS through their previous accomplishments with microwave-applied technology and persistent research.

8 About PLS Principle Industrial Flood Lighting The principle of PLS light emission The PLS is a plasma lighting system wherein a microwave generated from the magnetron is transmitted to the cavity resonator through the waveguide. It forms a strong electric field, which generates electric discharge to the gas and sulfur compound inside the bulb, leading them to the plasmatic state, which continuously emits light. Maintaining this plasmatic state enables the continuous emission of light. 21 PLS Products LDM (Light Drive Module) DC from the Inverter is transmitted to the Magnetron and generates the microwaves. Microwaves are transmitted through the waveguide and concentrated into the bulb in the Mesh resonator.
