This starts with the spikes whose differently shaped tips cleanly and safely penetrate all common infusion containers with ease and fit securely. If a vent is required, a valve-controlled vent can be selected, which protects the sterile air filter against wetting or clogging with the fluid. The vent always works whatever your needs. Two versions are available: For the standard model 20 drops per ml, for the micro drip, it is 60 drops per ml. The level indicator helps set the fluid level; the flexible and non-reflective material of the chamber ensure that the filling and reading are user-friendly both under artificial and daylight conditions. The fluid filter at the system outlet fulfils another safety function. It prevents particles larger than 15 µm from flowing through.

The PVC tubing with plasticiser TOTM for gravity and pump-driven sets is used by CODAN as standard for all PVC tubing products. Transparent but still green: green line products from CODAN contain no PVC and plasticisers. They are also universally applicable. Besides the important medical aspects, there are also significant advantages in terms of environmentally-friendly disposal. 3-way stopcock with needle-free adapter needle-free Y-injection site Precision roller clamp Roller clamp Regulation rather than trial and error: With the precision roller clamp, the administration of the infusion solution is not only quicker but permanently more precise for the clinician to adjust. The end of the set can be fixed in a holder on the side during preparation. During ongoing infusion, a clamping device on the roller clamp can be used for temporary interruption. When the system is disposed of after use, the clamp housing serves as stab protection for the spike.

4 Adapters There is a way without needles: 3-way stopcocks, latex-free and needle-free Y-sites are used whenever an additional transfer system has to be connected or an additional medication has to be administrated. The new generation of SWAN-LOCK components are particularly safe and userfriendly, because they work according to the needle-free principle. Access can be activated with a adapter. There is therefore no risk of injury and contamination for clinician or the patient. Another advantage of the SWAN adapters: They can be disinfected and do not require an additional cap. The connection to the catheter can be made safely and sealed in just a few easy steps. If the connectors have a rotating Luer thread, this is especially easy on the patient. With all versions including an integrated CODAN Check Valve, the backflow of infusion fluid or blood is prevented. adapter adapter with CODAN Check Valve The adapters have a FlowStop protection cap with filter. This allows air to escape in a controlled manner, but no fluids. The infusion system can therefore be vented in a simple and safe way.

5 Sets for infusion pumps Every drip counts: CODAN Infusion systems are ideally suited for use in volumetric infusion pumps that do not require specific or complex special sets. So comparatively inexpensive, pressure-tight standard sets can be used in pumps, such as the A707 V from CODAN ARGUS. It does not require expensive components like silicone segments or pump cartridges. There is a broad selection available: all the tubing used in pressure-tight infusion systems from CODAN, whether PVC (TOTM) or green line (PVC-free), can be used in the A707 V thereby offering flexibility in selection. Of course, we also offer infusion systems equipped with our patented Anti-Free-Flow clamp. These products are specifically for use in the A708 V infusion pump from CODAN ARGUS. The clamp automatically closes the flow when the pump door is opened or the set is removed from the pump which prevents Free-Flow. The IVIP 708 infusion systems are available in various configurations and also with the various tubing materials. Both the A707 V and A708 V volumetric infusion pumps from CODAN ARGUS not only work with high precision, they are also valued by virtue of their easy operation and safe use. Safety first: The Anti-Free-Flow system of the CODAN ARGUS 708 V. The patented Anti-Free- Flow clamp on IVIP 708 sets automatically blocks the flow of fluid on opening the pump door and removal of the set from the pump.
