To join the BCGA Players Club go to and click on Players Club, there is a cost of $44.95 to join the BCGA Players Club. A $10 Ladies Club membership fee should be paid prior to your first ladies day event. This membership entitles you to Ringer Board, Putting board, Match Play competition, Pin Round competition and year end awards. An optional weekly $5 fee entitles you to sponsored hole prizes and weekly game prizes. You are not limited to putting you name on only one sponsored hole prize. CHIP POT will be for competition 9 holes only and will include morning ladies, ladies at large and evening ladies. Individual Fees: $2.00-Dorothy Olive Franklin

2 No Individual Fee for the Pin Rounds or Juniors. BUT if you wish to participate in the Pin Rounds you must sign up on the sheet posted on the Bulletin Board. Times: Day Ladies Please sign up on the sheet posted on the bulletin board by Sunday of each week for the next Tuesday and the draw will be available Monday morning. If you forget to sign up come at 9:00 and we will try to fit you in or you can Tee Off after the draw is completed. Of course you may tee off with your own group before 9:00 am if you do not wish to go into the draw for tee times. Ladies at Large Individual Tee Times throughout the day. Business Ladies Business Ladies Tee-off starting at 5:00. PLEASE CALL THE PRO SHOP AT IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE. For the morning T-Times please phone the Pro Shop if you will be cancelling. FOURSOMES FOUR FLIGHTS Groups will be made up of one person from each of four flights, except on Pin Round days, when you will play with 3 other of similar handicap from your flights. SOCIAL ASPECT: For those ladies who plan to participate within your own groups please consider joining us for lunch of dinner after scheduled play (approx 1:00 2:00 p.m. for day ladies and 7:15 p.m. or later for the evening ladies) RINGER BOARD Enter your first competition 9 hole score (front or back nine start) on the sheet provided on the bulletin board, then enter second competition 9 hole score (front or back nine start) until you have all 18 holes recorded. Then, if you better your score ON LADIES DAY ONLY, change your score for that hole, or holes, on the sheet. THERE WILL ONLY BE ONE RINGER BOARD FOR THE YEAR. PRIZES ARE AWARDED BY FLIGHTS. PUTTING AWARD Enter your putts on each Ladies Day on the sheet provided on the bulletin board. You must have 10 scores to qualify. Prizes will be awarded at year end. PLEASE NOTE: If you played 18 holes you enter your putts for 18 holes. If you only played the competition 9 holes you enter your 9 hole putting score. You only enter one putting score each week, you can however enter 9 holes one week and 18 holes the next week. But remember you need 10 scores to qualify for prizes in 9 or 18 hole category. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE RINGER BOARD, PAR AND BIRDIE TREE IS FOR LADIES DAY ONLY, AND ONLY THE DESIGNATED COMPETITION 9 HOLES FOR THAT DAY. HANDICAP REDUCTION AWARD Reminder: 2 consecutive years of 20 or more games are required to be eligible for handicap reduction. THERE WILL BE HANDICAP REDUCTION PRIZES AWARDED FOR A COMBINATION TOTAL OF LAST YEAR AND THIS YEAR. PIN ROUND This is a sponsored stroke play competition, less full handicap, to be played on each member club course, 18 holes, on specific days. There will be 6 Pin Round, and to qualify, you need only play once. Record games on the Pin Round Sheet provided on the bulletin board. Two BCGA pins are awarded annually, one to the winner and one to the runner up. (Lowest net score). The ladies who wish to compete for the 9 hole Pin Rounds - play 9 holes The ladies that wish to compete in the 18 hole Pin Rounds - play 18 holes LADIES MUST PLAYS THE SAME TEES ON THE SAME DAY AND THE SAME COURSE..You cannot use part of a 18 hole competition for a 9 hole Pin Round. You must declare at the beginning of your round what competition you are playing in. BREAK PINS & HOLE IN ONES If you break 100, 90 or 80 or make a Hole in One for the first time ever, save your score card signed and witnessed, that also includes 9 hole scores for breaking 60 or 50 for the first time and present it to your club captain. Pins are awarded for these accomplishments. MATCH PLAY 18 HOLE & 9 HOLE COMPETITIONS If you wish to enter Match Play competition, you must play

3 a 18 hole or 9 hole qualifying round by June 1, Enter your qualifying score on the appropriate sheet provided on the bulletin board. An 18 hole qualifying score can be two alternate nines or an 18 hole round. Draw will be made according to qualifying score. Match Play will commence on June 7, A player can enter both competitions. RULES: 1. Match games must be played within the 2 week time limit. No exceptions. 2. If the game has not been scheduled within the time limit, the person on the top will win the match by default. 3. If the game has been scheduled but one of the players doesn t show or cancels the game, and it cannot be made up within the original 2 week time frame the person that didn t show up, or cancelled the game will forfeit, and the other player will advance. PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE ABOVE RULE- unless approved by the club captain or the Match Play Coordinator. Throw out your highest net score and lowest net score for remaining seven holes. Lowest net score wins. O.N.E.S. Using your handicap, record your net score for each hole. Using only holes starting with the letters O,N,E and S (1,6,7,8,9, on front; 11,16,17,18 on back) calculate net score. Lowest net score wins. Net Par Points Points are awarded as follows:. Net Double Bogey & higher =0 points Net Bogey =1 point Net Par =2 points Net Birdie =3 points

6 Net Eagle =4 points Net Double Eagle =5 points Individual with the highest number of points wins. Secret Holes-Using your handicap, record your net score for each hole. Co-coordinators will choose 5 holes. Best net score on those 5 holes wins. Criers Tourney-Using your handicap, record your net score for each hole. Co-coordinators for each group will assign partners from a random drawing of the players in each group. The winner is the team with the best combined net score Who Do We Appreciate-Using your handicap, record your net score for each hole. The best net score on holes 2,4,6, and 8 is the winner. Best Odds-Using your handicap, record your net score for each hole. Throw out the worst net score on an odd hole. The best net score on the remaining odd holes is the winner. Hate Em - Choose 2 holes (on competition 9) that you hate and write pars on them. Play the rest of the holes. Record net score for the nine holes. You still play the holes you hate and record your score so you can enter score into the computer. 5 of clubs- Choose only 5 clubs to play with, putter counts as one. Record net score. This score is not eligible to enter into computer. Tombstone-Total number strokes allowed is your handicap for 9 holes plus the 9 hole par. Individual plays until she has used all the strokes she is allowed and then plants her tombstone where the ball comes to rest after her last stroke. If necessary, play will continue on to the next hole as necessary, until the player has used all her allowed strokes. The player that plants her tombstone the farthest through the golf course wins. Responsibilities of the Player-Posting Differentials A player is responsible for posting her own differentials and for the correctness of her handicap. Fair handicapping depends upon full, accurate information of a player s ability as reflected by her scores. A BCGA Handicap is established by recording: A differential every time a player completes an 18 hole round, or 9 hole round, on a rated course, at home or away. Nine hole scores may not be doubled. Acceptable Scores: Temporary Greens: When temporary greens are in use, provided the length of the hole is not greatly altered, scores are acceptable. There is no restriction on the number of temporary greens, but in all stroke play

7 competitions, the ball must be holed out. Conceded Putts: Scores that include conceded putts are acceptable for handicap purposes and should be recorded. A player may post a differential when playing alone. Foreign scores from USGA slope rated courses during their active playing season. Scores from Match play and multi-ball competitions. Unacceptable Scores: When the types of clubs are limited (ex. Only irons) Scores from courses that are not BCGA members. Scores from courses that are not USGA slope rated. Scores may not be used if played outside the active playing season. It is recommended that players handicaps should not be changed during a tournament which is to be completed within a week. For competitions extending over a longer period, each competitor should play to her current handicap. In handicap competition, if a player should play off a higher handicap than her correct one, she shall be disqualified from the competition. If a player plays off a lower one, the score or the result of a match shall stand (Rule 6-2). BCGA handicap cards must be signed by the Handicap Committee, verifying the players current handicap. HANDICAP COMMITEE for signing handicap cards Peter Stellato Williams Lake Golf Club Professional, Darcie Wright (Handicap Committee) Barb Vincent (Club Captain) Please remember that verification of handicap Indexes is mandatory before cards are signed. If you ask a committee member to sign your card away from the course, you must provide them with an up-to-date computer printout so that they are able to properly verify your index. Handicap indexes are more precise than the old handicaps and Committee members will not sign your cards without verifying the index. Player plays with old handicap regardless of how long ago. Must post 5 scores (18 hole rounds) before eligible for BCGA handicap. COMPUTER/HANDICAPS/INDEXES-THIS IS A REMINDER THAT IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH MEMBER TO RECORD ALL SCORES PLAYED, AND TO KEEP AN ACCURATE ACCOUNT OF THEIR PLAYING INDEX. HANDICAP FACTOR represents your ability on a course of average difficulty. You will never have more than one handicap Index. Never play with your BCGA Handicap Index. You must know this number however, and convert it to your Course Handicap before you play, wherever you play. COURSE HANDICAP represents your handicap on particular course, related o your ability on a course of average difficulty (Handicap Factor). You will have more than one course handicap. Your course handicap is the number that you actually play with. It is the number that you will use for Equitable Stroke Control (ESC), and to determine the number of strokes that you are allowed. Match and Stroke play. In order to convert your Handicap Factor to your Course Factor you will refer to the slope rating chart that is posted beside the computer. You find your handicap factor, follow across to determine your Course Handicap, and play that number. There will be slope rating charts at every clubhouse.

8 DIFFERENTIAL is the player s gross scoreless course rating, multiplied by 113 (average slope rating), divided by the slope rating of the course being played. It is not necessary to compute this manually as the computer does it for you when you enter your scores. Scores from B.C. courses are not to be posted between December 1 and February 28. POSTING FOREIGN SCORES-Adjusted gross scores from BCGA and USGA slope rated courses, made in their active playing season, shall be posted. When playing in the USA, Equitable Stroke Control is applied according to the BCGA method unless the player belongs to a US ladies club, in which case the USGA method is used. For posting at her home course, the player shall bring back the adjusted gross score, course rating, slope rating and the date the score was made and if it was a tournament score. PLAYERS CHANGING GOLF COURSES-Players changing golf clubs must present the record of their last twenty scores plus applicable tournament scores for the past year to the new club. EQUITABLE STROKE CONTROL (ESC) is a form of mandatory stroke control and must be used. Please refer to the revised Equitable Stroke Control Chart posted by the computer (and outlined below) to determine your maximum score per hole for handicap purposes. A player should not discontinue play on a hole when there is a chance that the score on the hole would be fewer strokes that the score allowed under the ESC. Course Handicap Limitation on Hole Score 0 or plus 1 over par on all holes over par on all holes over par on all holes 33 and over 4 over par on all holes Example: A player with a handicap of 38, had a score of 114. This score included a 9 on a par 3. The maximum allowed by the handicap is 4 strokes over par, therefore on a par 3 the maximum score is 7. When entering this score into the computer, the player must make an adjustment for this hole, reducing the 9 to a 7 and recording 112. TOPPERS are members with a handicap index of 40.5 or over. Once your handicap index has dropped to 40.4 or less, you cannot go back to the toppers division. The maximum handicap index for non-toppers is 40.4 (this is our course handicap of 42). Extended handicaps may be used only at club levels. DEFINITION OF WINTER RULES: Players are allowed to mark their ball position with a tee, lift, clean and place it with a maximum of a six inch improvement, no closer to the hole. When the ball is placed it is in play. This rule is to be played tee through to the green. Interpretations: 1. You can move your ball on the Fairway & the Rough. 2. You cannot improve your Ball in a Hazard of on the Putting Green. PLAYING OF PARTIAL ROUNDS-If you play 7 to 12 holes, you must enter a 9 hole score. If you play 13 or more holes, you must enter a 18 hole score. Scores for un-played holes are par PLUS handicap allowed: Handicap of 30, with play stopped after 16 holes (handicap of 30, player is allowed 2 strokes on 12 hardest holes and 1 stroke on 6 easiest holes) #17 is par 3, ranked 18 th (easiest)-score is 3 (par) + 1 (handicap allowed)=4 #18is a par 4, ranked 12 th score is 4 (par) + 2 (handicap allowed) =6
