2 Installation for Win x64 The steps below are the example installation steps of PP8000 printer for USB, Serial, LAN and WIFI printers. If you want to install the LPT port printer, please refer to the Installation LPT printer for Win x64 steps for the detail. There are two methods to start up the installation. Method1 is to double click the INSTALL.BAT then start-up the installing steps. Page 2
3 Method2 is to select the Add a printer function on devices and printers to start- up the installing steps. Page 3
4 Select the The printer that I want isn t listed and press Next button to continue. Page 4
5 Select the Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings and press Next button to continue. Page 5
6 Choose a printer port of your printer. If your printer is a USB printer, select the last virtual USB printer port. If you never install other USB printer on your windows system, there is only one virtual printer port USB001 at here. If not, there is more then one virtual printer port at you system. Example: USB001 / USB002 / USB003. Please click Next to continue. Page 6
7 Select the Have Disk button and click Next button to continue. Page 7
8 Click Browse button to select the Posiflex printer driver folder and then click OK button to continue. Page 8
9 Select your printer model and press the Next button to continue. Page 9
10 Press the Next button to continue. Page 10
11 Click Install to continue. Page 11
12 Press the Finish button to complete the installation. Page 12
13 Open the Devices and Printers to find the installed printer. Page 13
14 Open the Computer manager and can find the installed printer too. Page 14
15 Installation LPT printer for Win x64 The steps below are the example installation steps of PP8800 printer for Parallel printer. Please connect the parallel printer before Windows 8 startup. The Device Setup window will pop up on the screen and then disappear. Please right click on the Computer ICON on the desktop and select the Manage item. Page 15
16 Please select the Device Manager to find the uninstalled printer Posiflex PP8800. Page 16
17 Please right click on the Posiflex PP8800 printer and select the Update Driver Software item. Page 17
18 Please click on the Browse my computer for driver software to continue. Page 18
19 Please press Browse button to select the printer driver folder and press Next button to continue. Page 19
20 Please select the Posiflex PP8800 Partial Cut v3.01 and press Next button to continue. Page 20
