If you want to add another day it is only $ 700 per day after that. The elk population on this ranch is high year around so early seasons alike you will be into elk. The local herd on the ranch usually runs about 150 give or take 25 or so. Winter migration brings more in and some stay while other *For the rifle hunter the 5 day hunt for elk or deer is only $ 3495, but if you want to add a deer to the elk hunt or the elk to the deer hunt it is only a $ 500 add on, and you take home both. *Late Season Cow elk hunts are private land only and are fully guided for 1 day. They include transportation around the mountain and packing out of game, all for only $ 995, add meals and lodging for only $150! *Remember in Colorado you can shoot two elk per year as long as one of them is a private land cow elk. That is what this is. You can even shoot two of these if you have not shot any others during the season. Let add one more great pazang! No vouchers are required most of the years there are late season cow licenses left over for this area. In this kind of hunt the few slots for hunting will fill up long before the license availability runs out. If you ever booked early this is the one, remember it doesn t stop your other hunts.

6 Because of our transportation we classify this as a low impact hunt even through you are hunting which would be considered high impact elk habitat and property. This working ranch is located in the center of the best elk hunting country in Colorado. It is nestled between the Flattops, the Yampa Valley and Gore Pass. The lodge is located at an elevation of 8100 feet with the private land extending up to 9300 feet. The rich Yampa grass and cool timbered forests attract thousands of elk to the area. Mule deer and black bear are also plentiful. In addition to great hunting on the 3,400 acre private ranch, the Routt National Forest borders the property on three sides. The permit area includes 10,000 acres of hunting on the National Forest. You will be hunting in an area south of Steamboat Springs in Colorado s Unit GMU015 well known for its elk number in the fall and winter when all of the high country elk move down onto this private property and it becomes an elk mecca. If you are looking for easily accessed hunting, combined with warm, comfortable accommodations and three hot meals per day, then this is the place for you! The ranch house is a modern 5,300 square foot log lodge, complete with 7 bedrooms, a game room, and a hot tub on the deck. Convenient accesses to the hunting areas make it easy to return to the lodge for a hot lunch each day. Hunting on the property is accessible by 4-wheel drive vehicles, an 8-wheel ATV, which can be fitted with tracks for snow travel, or by horseback on one of the easy-going Morgan horses that are raised at the ranch. No vehicles are allowed on the National Forest so hunting access in the forest is either by horse or an easy walk from the border of the ranch property. We provide many options but our main hunt is a low priced inclusive, 5-day hunt with lodging and meals at the ranch, your choice of transportation for the hunt either by horse or ATV, the services of a professional guide, and pack service for your animal. You are responsible only for your personal gear, weapon, game license, meat-packing and shipping. FULL-SERVICE HUNTS (GMU015): Our hunts are designed for the hunter looking for outstanding hunting while enjoying a warm lodge and hot meals. These hunts are limited to 4-6 hunters with one guide per two hunters. ARCHERY /MUZZLELOADER...$895/day/hunter Fully guided archery hunts may be booked on a daily basis for $700/day. There is a 2-day minimum for guided archery hunts. This price includes lodging, meals, and guide service. The balance is due any time before 45 days before your hunt. Colorado Hunting Season Dates: Archery...August 30th-September 28th Muzzleloading... September 13th-21st (draw only) Rifle Seasons: 1st: Separate Limited Elk...October 11th-15th (draw only) 2nd: Combined Deer/Elk...October 18th-26th 3rd: Combined Deer/Elk...Nov.1st-9 th 4th: Combined Deer/Elk...November 12th-16th (draw only) Late (Private Land - Cow Only)..Nov. 17th-Jan. 31st (draw only) License Information: The deadline for applying for one of the special, draw-only licenses is April 1, Archery licenses for Elk and Deer are unlimited and are available over the counter. Archery, Muzzleloader, and Rifle licenses for Mule Deer are issued by drawing only. All muzzleloader licenses are by special draw only. The 1st rifle season (Separate Limited Elk) and the 4th rifle season (Combined Deer/Elk) are available only through the draw. Rifle licenses for Cow Elk are only available through the draw or leftover licenses. Private Land, Either Sex licenses are also available by special drawing. Anyone born on or after January 1, 1949, must have completed an approved hunter education course before applying for a license. Colorado honors hunter education courses from other states. Colorado license fees for Elk are: Bull - resident: $46; non-resident: $601; Cow - resident: $46; non-resident: $451.

8 Colorado license fees for Mule Deer are: resident: $31; non-resident: $361. A $10 Habitat Stamp is required plus a $3 application fee for limited licenses in the draw. If you miss the special draw deadline, there are generally some leftover licenses available through the Colorado Division of Wildlife (this does not include Muzzleloader - bull). Our friendly and professional staff specializes in personal service. All of our guides are First Aid and CPR certified and possesses a thorough knowledge of our private land and permit area. Their understanding and knowledge of the local wildlife habits give hunters the best opportunity for a successful hunt. In addition to calling in and locating the animals, our guides will help clean, pack, and skin your animal. One guide will be provided for two hunters. Meat cutting, wrapping, and shipping is available nearby but is not included in the price of our hunt packages. Space is limited because although we have an abundance of game year around we hunt it lightly and don t abuse it with over hunting so that everyone is successful.
