1 WPS IP Android App User Guide - IP Device Configuration In order to use this Android app, mobile streaming must be turned on in the Wirepath IP device configuration menu. Refer to the manual for the device being added for details on how to turn this feature on. 2- Installation 2.- Installing the App. Access the Play Store using a web browser or the Android device. 2. Install and run WPS-IP on the Android device 2.2- Adding Devices (Quick Start) Wirepath IP devices that are connected to a local network can be added easily by performing a search of the network. Remote devices that have been setup for DNS access can be added, but they require manual addition. See 2.-Adding Devices (Manually). To use the search function the Android device must be connected to the local network. Verify that Wi-Fi is turned on, and the Android device is connected to the same local network as the IP devices before proceeding.. Select the device type to be added. 2. Press the Search button to start the scan. 3. Select the device in the list to add. 4. Press the Save button to add the device. 2.- Adding Devices (Manually). Select the device type to be added. 2. Press the Add Device button. 3. Enter the Name, Address, Port, and login information. See 3.3-Add / Edit Device 4. 2 3- Interface Operation 3.- Main Menu. Camera List Displays a list of Cameras. 2. NVR Encoder List Displays a list of NVRs or Encoders. 3. Album Displays a list of Snapshots that have been saved to the Android device. 4. Android Back Button (Not Shown) Exits the App Device Lists 5. List of Devices o o Press the device name to view. Press & Hold the device name to edit or delete. 6. Sort Order Lists can be sorted by IP Address, Name, or Status. 7. Add Device Press to add a Device to the App. See 2.-Adding Devices (Manually) 8. Search for Devices Searches a local network for available Wirepath IP Cameras. See 2.2-Adding Devices (Quick Start) 9. Grid View Displays a 4x4 grid of Cameras. 3 3.3- Add / Edit Device. Device Name We recommend that the same name assigned in the device configuration is used to avoid confusion when accessing through different interfaces. 2. IP Address Local network IP address or DNS address for remote devices. Note: Addresses for remote devices are not required to be preceded by or followed by the port. Example: Jones.WirepathDNS.com 3. IP Port Number Port number assigned in the device configuration. 4. User Account Name Login to be used to access the devices. We recommend that this be the same account for the user as defined in the device configuration. 5. Password Password for the above User Account 6. Save Camera Saves the currently entered settings. 7. Discard Discards the currently entered settings. 8. Android Back Button (Not Shown) 3.4- Live View Camera Live View. Swipe Screen Swipe the screen horizontally to switch to the next or previous camera. 2. Switch Camera Displays a list of Cameras assigned to the Android device. 3. Audio On/Off Turns audio on or off for cameras equipped with a microphone. 4. PTZ Controls On/Off Allows for PTZ control of a camera equipped with PTZ. See 3.8-PTZ Controls 5. Snapshot Saves a snapshot of the current view to the Android device. 6. Stream Resolution Selects the resolution of the stream. The App detects the kind of connection and sets the resolution defaults as follows. Wi-Fi Defaults to High 3G/4G Defaults to Medium 7. 4 Encoder Live View. Swipe Screen Swipe the screen horizontally to switch to the next or previous camera. 2. Switch Camera Displays a list of Cameras connected to the current Encoder. 3. PTZ Controls On/Off Allows for PTZ control of a camera equipped with PTZ. See 3.8-PTZ Controls 4. Snapshot Saves a snapshot of the current view to the Android device. 5. 5 3.6- NVR Search by Date/Time. Month Select the Month to search. 2. Day Select the Day to search. 3. Year Select the Year to Search. 4. Done Saves the current date values as search criteria. 5. Hour Select the Hour to search. 6. Minutes Select the Minutes to search. 7. AM/PM Set AM or PM. 8. Done Saves the current time values as search criteria. 9.
