1 Fujifilm Sericol Matching System Version 2.0 SMS Base Colors Febuary 1, 2006

2 Seritone Matching System Shades Simulated From Seritone Base Colors This booklet furnishes the necessary formulas to simulate all the "C" colors of the Color Guide, except Double print, Fluorescent, and Metallic Colors. Each formula was printed through a TW (153/cm) monofilament screen with a 75 durometer sharp edge squeegee, without thinning, on Leneta Opacity Cards. All formulas are presented by weight. However, due to variations in ink film thickness, screen mesh, and other variables, some formulas may need adjustments. The Seritone Matching System (SMS) has been designed to enable screen printers to simulate almost any shade from nine SMS Base Colors plus Shading Black, Tinting White, and Mixing Clear. Each SMS Base Color has been carefully selected for its cleanliness of tone, resistance to fading, and suitability for intermixing. In addition, each ink has been formulated to be free of lead and other heavy metals. Although every care is taken in producing these formulations, variations in substrates and printing conditions will affect color achieved. Fujifilm Sericol USA Inc. assumes no responsibility for actual color achieved. For this reason, all formulations must be proofed, prior to production run, to ensure color accuracy. In some cases, to accurately simulate a shade, considerable amounts of Mixing Clear and/or Tinting White are in the formulation. The exterior durability of color mixes with high percentages of Mixing Clear and/or Tinting White will be reduced. The Technical Services Department, in many cases, can provide an alternate simulation formula yielding improved exterior durability. The SMS Base Colors are listed below and are available in single gallon containers: DESCRIPTION FC-064 SMS Yellow GS (Green Shade) FC-066 SMS Yellow RS (Red Shade) FC-114 SMS Orange FC-121 SMS Red YS (Yellow Shade) FC-127 SMS Violet FC-164 SMS Red BS (Blue Shade) FC-165 SMS Magenta FC-230 SMS Blue FC-325 SMS Green FC-TW SMS Tinting White FC-SB SMS Shading Black FC-MX SMS Mixing Clear Fujifilm Sericol USA Inc's color mixing ink formulations for screen process printing produce only simulations of Colors in this color reproduction method due to differences in ink film, opacity and pigment selection. The pigment selection used in blending screen process inks may cause metamerism. Pantone, Inc. assumes no responsibility for formula accuracy. is Pantone, Inc.'s checkstandard trademark for color.
