30 General Information INK COLORS - Any non-metallic PMS color is available (in matte or glossy finish) on White film at NO EXTRA CHARGE. For special ink matches or metallic inks, please call for quotation. PRICING - All pricing is per thousand bags (except where indicated), and includes ONE color printing on BOTH sides of bag (except where indicated) up to 50% ink coverage, but does not include the cost of any necessary artwork and/or printing plates. For process printing, screens, halftones or greater than 50% ink coverage, please contact us for a special quotation. All prices are subject to change and review of artwork. ORDERING INFORMATION - All purchase orders should specify the following: desired quantity, bag style, bag size, film or paper color (and type where applicable), gauge (film thickness), handle color (if applicable), number of colors (PMS #'s) and sides to be printed, Single Wall or Double Wall construction (where applicable), position of copy (we will position copy lower center of bag if not specified), shipping instructions and preferred freight terms. All orders will be acknowledged in writing. (On Double Wall bags, you must specify color of inner layer of plastic. Outer layer is always clear). All new or repeat orders wi h changes require printing plates. Please see page 23 for plate estimator. PRODUCTION TIMES - Subject to seasonal variations, lead time is generally 4 weeks on repeat orders. On new or repeat orders wi h changes, lead time is 4 weeks after receipt of approved proof. Please note, preparation of a proof takes 5-7 business days from receipt of purchase order and artwork. On post printed items lead time is 2-3 weeks. All custom imports take approximately 12 weeks. RUSH SERVICE AVAILABLE. Please call for further information. PROOFS - Upon request, a PDF or color mock up proof will be submitted at no charge on new or changed artwork for correctness of copy, size, and print location. On custom imprinted paper products, a blue line proof or actual hand sample will be provided. Please contact us for pricing and lead time. Art and plate charges are usually detailed before proofs are produced. Proofed orders will not be manufactured, and lead time will not begin until a signed, approved proof is returned to us. Once a proof is approved, no claim or allowance of any kind will be considered on printing as proofed and approved. BAG COLORS - The following film colors are available (except where noted otherwise on individual product pages): Clear, Frosted, White, Black, Ivory, Gray, Buff, Orange, Red, Dark Blue, Hot Pink, Baby Pink, Peach, Dusty Rose, Dark Green, Teal, Silver and Gold. (For gold poly, you must add 10% to prices shown). Metallized poly available as shown on p.10. Please contact us for a swatch book which contains all available film colors. NOTE - Silver poly at times has a distinct odor. Please advise your customer accordingly. PLEASE NOTE - The colors of films and inks may vary within commercially acceptable standards. Care should be taken when choosing combinations such as light inks on dark film colors, and when inks trap or overlap each other, thereby creating another ink color. In either of these situations, we recommend contacting us for an ink draw down, which will more accurately depict the result of your ink and film color combinations. ALLOWABLE OVERRUNS/UNDERRUNS - All orders are subject to the following variation: Below 100M +/ - 15%, 100M and above +/- 10%. Invoices will reflect the actual number of bags shipped. FREIGHT - FOB our factory in Melville, NY. All shipments will be made prepay and add (unless specified otherwise on purchase order), with freight charges added to invoice when shipment billed. Normal routing is via common carrier or UPS. Please advise in advance if special circumstances exist regarding delivery (i.e.: fork lift service, inside delivery, etc.), which will result in additional charges. DROP SHIPMENTS AND SPLIT DESTINATIONS - Available at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE for up to 10 locations. SPECIAL QUOTATIONS - Required for printing any size or style bag not shown in catalog, or for printing four color process artwork, screens, halftones, or greater than 50% ink coverage. CANCELLATIONS - All charges incurred up to the time of cancellation (i.e.: artwork, plates, or other material and/or labor costs), will be billed accordingly. INSPECTION AND RETURN OF MERCHANDISE - No merchandise may be returned without prior written authorization from The Regal Line. All shipments should be inspected upon receipt, with specific notation of damaged or missing cartons made on the incoming freight bill. Some returned items may carry a restocking charge. PAYMENT TERMS - NET 10 EOM. We also accept Master Card and Visa credit cards for payment. UNPRINTED BAGS - We maintain an assortment of unprinted plastic bags and mailing/security envelopes in a variety of styles and sizes for immediate shipment. Please call for further information. CUSTOMER SERVICE - Representatives are available to assist you from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. FREE SAMPLES - Available on all products styles to help support your proposal. 31 Printing Information / Art Requirements PRINTING - Flexographic printing requires color separated art, metal engravings and rubber printing plates. Digital vector art must be color separated to exact size, and have sharp, contrasting print. Any work required to bring artwork up to camera ready quality will be billed at $60.00 per hour. Copy will be printed in the LOWER CENTER area of all bags, unless specified otherwise. PRINTING CAPABILITIES - We are capable of printing up to 8 colors on both sides of a bag, and up to 100% of the bag can be imprinted, except where noted otherwise. Process printing is available with a 25M piece minimum, and requires prior approval of artwork and a special quotation. PLATE CHARGE ESTIMATOR - The following price chart should be used to calculate estimated plate charges for straight line art copy, when the SAME copy is printing on BOTH sides of the bag. Please note: When printing screen, halftone, 4 color process copy, 100% ink coverage, bags less than 12" wide, oversized copy (20"+), 1 side print or different copy each side, you must contact us for a quotation. Calculate Estimated Printing Plate Costs As Follows: For each color, measure the farthest dimension of print copy for width and height and add 2 inches to each dimension Multiply width by height to get total square inches per color. Use the chart below to calculate the plate charge. This calculation must be done for each color to be printed, and covers printing plates for BOTH sides of the bag (Assuming same copy on each side). Any copy measuring over 20" requires a special quote square inches $ (G) per color square inches $ (G) per color square inches $ (G) per color square inches $ (G) per color square inches $ (G) per color square inches $ (G) per color square inches $ (G) per color Over 300 square inches Quotation Required ART REQUIREMENTS - Please supply EPS vector artwork in Illustrator CS4, Freehand MX or a QuarkXpress 8 doc w/mac fonts supplied, in these versions or lower, so we can create spot color separations. Please link any Photoshop files into the layout and supply hi-res versions (300 dpi for four color process and gray scale, 1200 dpi tiff or jpg format files in Bitmap mode for 1 color artwork) of the source files at the full imprint size. Please create all artwork using Pantone spot colors. We can accept ed artwork (please send it to ftedesco@poly-pak.com), Mac formatted cdr's and 100 mb Zip disks. Photocopies, faxes and business cards are not camera ready and will require artist services for creating digital artwork for color separating and trapping. Enlargements and reductions will also entail a fee. Art may be supplied on disk prepared for MAC format. On multi colored artwork, please provide a composite showing color breakdown. We are currently able to accept art on he following MAC formatted programs: Adobe Illustrator CS4 or earlier Adobe Photoshop CS4 or earlier Freehand Macromedia MX or earlier QuarkXPress 8 or earlier If other than the software mentioned above, save with EPS preview on disk. Outside service may be necessary and a cost estimate will be provided. NOTE - A fee will be incurred to output artwork supplied on disk. Please have a black and white hard copy and/or color output proof accompany your disk, marked with any important information needed for output. When fonts are used, you must include the screen and printer fonts used for the job on the disk OR create outlines for all type in Illustrator. Maximum of 8 print colors can be used. Screens and solids, even in the same colors, may need to be separated. Example: 185 Red and a 30% 185 red screen may become a 2 color job. Prepare art file and output with the solid red on a separate plate from the red screen. Add trap to the screen and have the solid overprint. If preferred, choose a lighter color PMS at 100% to replace desired screen color. 31

32 Printing Information / Art Requirements All screens printing with solids need to be at a 55 line up to a maximum of 65 lines. NOTE: We cannot blend screens to achieve graduated blends of color. When preparing artwork for trapping of colors (overlap colors maintain registration), there must be no less than a 3/64 trap. Create trap at 3/64 or with a 3 to 4 pt. stroke rule. Caution should be taken when trapping certain ink colors which may create another undesired color when printed. Please request an ink draw down of colors in question to confirm result of trapping. Printable image area is generally 1/2 from sides of the bag and 1/2 from the bottom of the bag. Start the image 4 down from the top on Patch Handle bags to avoid the handle and seal area, and generally 3 down for all other types of bags. Bleeds off the edges of the bag require 1 bleed off both sides, as well as the top and bottom. Please note we have an experienced in house art staff, well trained in the complete preparation of artwork to meet the specifications of our machinery and printing processes. We are happy to assist you in art preparation, or help answer any questions you may have regarding the same. Please call us for further assistance. DISTRIBUTOR LOGOS - Upon request, we will print distributor s logo in the bottom gusset of bag. Assuming simple three line copy (logos not included), we will set type and make a set of logo plates for $ (K). UNION LOGOS - As a union shop, upon request, we will include a union logo on all bags manufactured domestically in our Melville, NY facility. EYESPOTS - Some plastic bags will be printed with a small, solid, rectangular box in the lower corner of both sides of the bag. This box, or eyespot, helps assure the accuracy of bag size during manufacturing. COPY / INK COLOR CHANGES - The following changes made during the printing of bags, require a minimum of 3000 pieces per change: Ink Color $ (G) per change. Full Printing Plate Change (for print image larger than 2 x3 $ (G) per change. Slug Printing Plate Change (for print image 2 x3 or $80.00 (G) per change. IMPRINT INK COLORS FOR "REGAL " TOTES: (Page 3) Colors listed below are standard imprint colors. Printing on dark colored items may require a flash of white behind the image to avoid contamination. White, Orange 165, Maroon 202, Blue 283, Yellow C, Red 185, Purple 268, Black, Gray 429, Navy 281, Yellow 123, Red 200, and Reflex Blue. INK COLORS FOR KRAFT PAPER SHOPPING BAGS: (Page 18) Any standard PMS uncoated stock ink color. Note: ink colors on natural Kraft bags may contaminate. 32
