15 Transfer old files with Windows Easy Transfer If your PC is going to be upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7, there is a program called Windows Easy Transfer which will allow you to choose the folders and files you want to bring over, copy User Accounts, Program Settings, Internet Settings and Favorites, and even E- mail settings such as your contacts and messages If your PC is going to be upgraded from Windows XP, you have to do a Custom Install which would normally mean manually copying all of the files and folders you want to transfer to the new Windows 7.
