6 UNION CREATES STRENGTH: TWO POWER SYSTEMS. ENERGYA SERIES is based on an innovative system for moving the drum that combines the advantages of traditional technology with those of electric technology. In traditional truck mixers, drum movement is generated by a hydraulic system; but in truck mixers in the ENERGYA series, it s produced by an electric induction motor that receives energy from a lithium-ion battery. Plug-in hybrid means that the batteries can be charged from both the power grid and through a generator powered by a diesel engine on the truck that allows the truck mixer to be fully operational even when the batteries are dead. ENERGYA is also equipped with KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) the system that permits energy recovery during vehicle deceleration. SO YOU CAN ALWAYS KEEP GOING.

The innovative principle behind the ENERGYA truck mixer translates into real advantages on the work site or in the concrete plant. In fact, both during loading operations in the plant and when discharging at the work site, the truck s diesel engine can be turned off and the drum powered by the electric motor connected to the battery. During transport, the diesel engine recharges the electric battery if necessary, thus ensuring that the truck mixer can operate autonomously.

By using electrical battery energy, noise from the diesel engine is reduced to zero when loading and discharging, with the result that noise from the truck mixer is reduced up to 10 db compared to a traditional truck mixer. Without considering background noise, we can say that ENERGYA decreases perceived noise by half.

What s more, the display on the video camera located on the back of the equipment guides the operator during more difficult maneuvers.

25 I PRODUCT DESCRIPTION ENERGYA is the new CIFA plug-in Hybrid truck mixer adopting the latest technologies to decrease fuel consumption, pollution and noise. The system allows the full energy management in all working conditions and the choice and the set up of components maximize the general efficiency of the system. Conventional hydraulic system is replaced by electric transmission with high efficiency. The system allows to rotate the drum with diesel engine off, without exhaust emission and with very low noise in the working area during the charging and discharging phases. Emission and noise reduction make ENERGYA very useful in all areas where high respect for the environment is the first choice.
