Experiences Need of active approach open mind real commitment real communication time spending (both for preparation and during exchange) reporting for preparing new participants and hosts willingness to change and improve International seminar, 23/ Summarizing remarks from Host company Blom Tasks for exchange candidates largely depends on his/her own wishes, competence, learning curve and desire to take on new challenges. We have not experienced any cultural difficulties. We appreciate how having our Vietnamese participant around forces our own Norwegian employees to realize that they are part of a constantly increasing International environment. It is critical that our participant understands the high quality standards expected by our customers. The level of responsibility put on his shoulders is very much up to himself. To find the correct balance is a challenge! Follow-up meetings, regular reporting and constant feedback from the participants is important. 22
