7 A-10 Warthog This is an INTERMEDIATE or ADVANCED RC Jet. PDF NOTES and TIPS **PRINT ONLY THIS PAGE FIRST** to check that the printed scale is correct. The black line below should be five inches long. If it measures to 5 inches then print the rest of the pages. If the black line does NOT measure to 5 inches make sure that Page Scaling is turned OFF in your printers setting box. *You will need to trim any side of a page that has the red guide lines. Just trim right up to the lines. These lines should match up exactly and will be 3 inches long. Print scale 5 inches

8 *All electronics available from *2-11.1V mAh 25C li-po s *2-68MM ducted dans (or good quality 64MM fans and motors might work?) *2-60 amp speed control (or 40 amp ESC s if you try using 64MM EDF s). *3-9 gram servos or 4 if you make the optional rudders. FYI, the jet will fly fine with out rudders and they are somewhat delicate, requiring occasional adjustment. Plane Electronics Requirements *3/16th or 1/4 inch Foamboard for the fuselage, wings and tail. I highly reccomend using foamboard from the Dollar Tree stores as it s 1/2 the weight of other foam board and just about as strong. About 4 20 X 30 inch sheets of board are needed. The company that makes this foam board is **IF you use heavier duty foam board like Elmers your plane may be slightly underpowered.** *1/16 galvanized steel on a roll (from a hardware store) or RC pushrods, about 10 inches are needed (or 27 total inches if you make movable rudders. OR you can use RC pushrods if you have them. *Hot glue(prefered) or 5 min epoxy. *Thick packing tape for control surface hinges and wing stiffening. *About 4 12 inch BBQ skewers *About 18 inches of 1/4 inch diameter wooden dowel. *4 large rubber bands to hold the wing on. *28 inches of 1/8 inch thick by 1 inch wide balsa strip of wood. *4 regular size popsicle sticks. *About 7 tounge depressors. 10 Thrust tube for ducted fan. Cut out 2 of these. Peel paper off both sides of foam board and wrap around EDF unit. Then glue the seem back together leaving a small cut out for your motor wires to stick through. Cut 1 piece1 of 1/4 wooden dowel this long for your EDF support. Cut 2 pieces of 1/4 wooden dowel this long for your wing rubberband holders.

13 Wing spar template. Cut out 2 of these and glue them end to end. Then use the the template to cut out your balsa strip and two foam board pieces for your wing spar. Front Canopy top. Wing tip piece. Cut out 2 of these. Wing mount and EDF shaft supports. Cut out 6. It may be easier to use a 1/4 inch drill to make the center hole.
