(See Training Course Calendar Insert) OCS Group continues to develop courses for our clients, tailored to meet their specified training needs. In fact, just over the past year, we completed custom training classes, nationally and for Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE).

4 This five-day course provides candidates with understanding of the terminology and protection concepts for electrical/instrument equipment utilized in explosive atmospheres. It covers the IEC Standard Parts 14 and 17 and ATEX 95 and 137 European Directives, including the preparation, installation, inspection and maintenance of electrical/instrument equipment used in explosive atmospheres. The course utilizes both practical and theoretical assessments, covering all protection concepts listed in order to validate a candidate s core competency to work safely in explosive atmospheres in a series of specific modules listed below: EX01: The preparation and installation of Ex d, n, e and p electrical equipment EX02: The inspection and maintenance of Ex d, n, e and p electrical equipment EX03: The preparation and installation of Ex i equipment and systems EX04: The inspection and maintenance of Ex i equipment and systems In this two-day class, students will review updated requirements for the installation of electrical apparatus for use in hazardous areas. The first day concentrates on current directives and practices. On the second day, delegates are assessed in maintenance, installation and inspection. Topics include: Sources of ignition Nature of hazards and identification of hazards Area classifications zones 0, 1 and 2 Selection of apparatus, cabling, glanding and termination Inspection and testing Management and remedial work This three-day course is designed to develop the competency of mechanical personnel working in potentially flammable atmospheres. Delegates gain knowledge, understanding and practice in the preparation, installation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical equipment. The class also covers the standards for the manufacture and installation of mechanical equipment and their protection concepts. Topics include: Maintaining hazardous area equipment Protection concepts Standards, best practice and company criteria Sources of ignition Area classification and zones Hydraulic hose assembly Terminology and definitions

7 Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) is an approach to safety that focuses on workers' behavior as the cause of most work-related injuries and illnesses. Statistics state that in 80 to 90 per cent of all incidents, the employee behavior was an important link. BBS focuses on identifying and reinforcing a safety culture and will give your employees the opportunity to address the critical aspects of building an incident free culture. We will focus on identifying and reinforcing safe behaviors, therefore reducing unsafe/at-risk behaviors. Students will learn through conversations, demonstrations, hands-on learning, practical exercises and discussions. They are extremely service minded personnel! Training Coordinator Maersk They worked with us to accommodate our ever-changing schedules. Offshore Training Branch Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) Class was excellent and staff was very warm and welcoming. Thank you OCS!!
