7 Hillstone LED Installation Policy NO BARRIER REQUIRED The Hillstone range of LEDs have been tested and approved to AS/NZS 000:2007 Section (AS/ NZS and AS/NZS ) which allows contact with combustible materials. As our LED down lights already come with a cover over our heat sink to prevent the ingress and blocking of the heat sink fins which allows for the proper heat dispersion, we can confidently allow insulation or rafters to abutt our range of LEDs. We supply a compliant Warning Label and a commonly used driver holder that will enable installation from below the ceiling. These are included free of charge with every LED. If the holder is not used, the driver must be secured and in no way covered by insulation. We still recommend that no LED is covered by insulation (see ^ for exception) as this will effect the longevity of the LED. ^These models can be covered with insulation: 15PLR, 19PLR, 0PLS.
