4 HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR TRAINING SCHOOL It is of the utmost importance to choose the correct Training School. The right or wrong choice will most definitely have an effect on your future in the nail industry. Question the quality and excellence of the entire training package. Ensure that the package includes both theoretical and practical training. Every Training School considers their training to be the best. Ensure that YOUR needs are met. The key to success and making the decision lies with you, and ONLY YOU. THE FOLLOWING KEY ASPECTS WILL ASSIST YOU IN MAKING A DECISION 1. THE EDUCATOR'S COMPETENCY AND QUALIFICATIONS The assigned Educator must be qualified equal to or higher than the course presented, inclusive of a set amount of years experience. Corine Gerber, Director of Galaxy Nails Africa received and completed her training in America and has more than 16 years experience in the nail industry. Every Educator /ensures the continuation and implementation of these American standards. Galaxy Nails Africa was established in South Africa in 1996 and is still growing rapidly. 2. THE CLASSROOM Each classroom must be equipped with an air conditioner as well as an extractor fan. The classrooms at Galaxy Nails Africa adheres to all relevant criteria and has established the ideal classrooms with enough space for all our students. Additional training tools are used to enhance the efficiency and knowledge of different steps and techniques (for example: video s). 3. EDUCATOR VS STUDENT RATIO To ensure that each student makes a success of her career we have implemented a policy that each student determines and receives individual attention, structured to suit her own needs. Therefore out classes are kept small and never overloaded. Should a student feel the need for addition training, they are welcome reside a day (or more). 4. CREDIBILITY OF TRAINING PROVIDER It is essential that the Training School you wish to attend and receive your training is recognised in the nail industry. Galaxy is extremely competitive and there is no need for our students and/or Nail Technicians to stand back for any other training schools. Galaxy Nails America is the inventor of the Glueless Technique. Corine Gerber imported this distinctive technique and product 10 years after it was patented in America. The Glueless Technique integrated with the product does not damage the natural nail. 5. CERTIFICATES Each student wants recognition for what they have achieved. Therefore Galaxy Nails Africa provides each student with an International Certificate as soon as they have completed the course and passed the examinations. Courses and examinations will be facilitated and evaluated on American standards. 6. JOB CREATION AND PLACEMENT To assist our Nail Technicians, we are always on the lookout for career opportunities and placements. Salons request Galaxy Nail Technicians on a daily basis, therefore the prospect of placement is good. Galaxy also makes placements on the Steiner Ships. 7. COST The most expensive course isn't always the best course. Galaxy believes in this statement. The courses offered at Galaxy Nails Africa are affordable and of the highest quality. There are various Training Packages to choose from, with the duration and cost implications determined separately. It is essential for you to understand that it will be impossible for you to learn the art of Artificial Nails in a week. 8. TRAINING AND PUBLICATIONS. Every student must be able to implement theory and techniques trained, therefore it is vital that every student understands what is being taught. Not all of us are 100% bilingual, and for that reason we facilitate our training and publications in both Afrikaans and English. pg. 4

6 Dear Student COURSE INFORMATION Thank you for showing interest in our courses. With this information booklet we would like to provide more information on what you can expect from GALAXY NAILS AFRICA, as well as what we have to offer you. We are sure that you will be pleased with what we offer, The BEST training, as well as the BEST products. It's exciting! It's different! We offer you a NO nonsense nail technology. Our courses are presented and facilitated on American standards and you can be assured of being very competitive and successful in the nail industry. The course includes the following : A Professional Kit International Certificate(s) for all nail systems Manual(s) for all nail systems R Registration Fee, and Theory Examination Fees (Note : Additional products will be required) Our courses are presented from Monday 09h00 till 16h00, every second Saturday from 08h00 till 13hoo. Our students are trained in sales techniques,anatomy & physiology, nail disease, product knowledge, artificial nails and many more. The Glueless Technique is so advanced and our training very intensive, therefore the duration for all courses is only a guideline and may take much longer. CORINE EXAMINATION INFORMATION Students must complete a theoretical exam within 6 months of starting their course. The practical exam can only be done after the theoretical exam has been completed. To pass, students must reach an average of 80% for the practical and 75% for the theoretical exam and there after we issue the certificate(s). During the course a couple of tests are written as well as an additional project will be assigned that must be done to keep standards high. No certificates will be issued if there is any outstanding course of product balances. An examination fee of R?00.00 will be payable for practical exams. Practical exams must be completed in 2 ½ hours. MODELS We always try and assist our students by arranging models for them. If possible, students must try and arrange at least 1 to 2 models of their own. We cannot guarantee that models arranged by us will always show up. CERTIFICATES You will receive an International Certificate for each system completed successfully. MASTERS CERTIFICATE After you have attended all our workshops and theory classes, you can achieve a Masters Certificate from us, after completion of the course. You will learn more about this when attending our course. PAYMENT A deposit of R is payable if you have reserved a course (only 15 students per class allowed). Ons studente word opgelei in verkoopstegnieke, persoonlike styl, anatomy & physiology naelsiektes, produkte kennis, opgeboude naels, opvul van opgeboude naels, vertserking van natuurlike naels, partytjie naels, en nog vele meer. Die Gomlose Tegniek is uiters gevorderd en opleiding is geweldig intensief, dus is die tydperk van alle kursusse slegs 'n riglyn, en mag dalk langer duur. Vir enige inligitng of besprekings skakel ons gerus by: (T) (012) / (C) (083) or (079) EKSAMEN INLIGTING Studente moet binne 6 maande aan die einde van hulle kursus 'n eksamen aflê. Teorie toetse word tydens die verloop van die kursus geskryf. Die slaagsyfer vir prakties is 80%, en 75% vir teorie waarna sertifikate uitgereik sal word. Tydens die kursus word daar ook toetse geskryf en addisionele projekte word gedoen om standaarde hoog te hou. Geen sertifikate sal uitgereik word indien daar enige kursus en/of produkgelde uitstaande is nie. R word per praktiese eksamen betaal.n vooi sal gevra word vir die moderator. Praktiese eksamens moet in 2 ½ uur voltooi word. MODELLE Ons help graag die studente deur vir hulle modelle te reël. Ons kan egter nie waarborg dat modelle altyd sal opdaag nie. Indien moontlik moet student probeer om ten minste 1 of 2 modelle self te reël vir die dae wanneer modelle nie opdaag nie. SERTIFIKATE Daar word 'n Internasionale Sertifikaat uitgereik vir elke sisteem wat u suksesvol by ons voltooi. MEESTERS SERTIFIKAAT Indien u al ons werkswinkel en teorieklasse bywoon, kan u 'n Meester Sertifikaat by ons verower nadat u die kursus voltooi het. U kan meer hiervan leer wanneer 'n kursus te Galaxy Nails Africa bywoon. BETALING Om u plek te verseker is n dep. van R betaalbaar.
