We have been doing business in the Fox River Valley for over 60 years. 4 Program Benefits Raise Money Your organization will have the opportunity to raise funds, while being educated as to the value and savings gained through recycling. Education This opportunity allows participants to gain an understanding as to the true economical and environmental benefits of recycling. Energy Savings True energy savings of up to 75% can be realized through recycling, lowering the carbon footprint of communities and encouraging proper waste disposal. Simplicity We make it easy for your organization to earn money. Our company will work individually with your organization to develop a program that is best suited for you. 5 Aluminum Recycling Facts Used aluminum beverage cans are the most recycled item in the U.S. Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to run a TV for three hours or the equivalent of half a gallon of gasoline. More aluminum goes into beverage cans than any other product. It takes 95% less energy to recycle aluminum than it does to make it from raw materials. A national recycling rate of 30% reduces greenhouse gas emissions as much as removing nearly 25 million cars from the road. In one year, recycling allows aluminum companies to save the equivalent of more than 19 million barrels of oil enough energy to supply electricity to about 18 million households for a year. 7 Program Explained With your help, Sadoff will determine our best suited location to serve your organization s needs; your account will be set at that particular location. Sadoff will provide your organization with clear plastic recycling bags for your membership. The intent of the bags is Aluminum Can Recycling Only, however other metal or steel materials can be brought in for credit to your account. 2 ways for collection. - Customized site collection - Member-initiated collection Sadoff has included a material acceptance policy in this packet; please familiarize your membership with materials that can and cannot be brought in. We can recycle more than just aluminum cans. One very important aspect of recycling is segregation, so group like metals with like metals. - Keep aluminum with other aluminum; do not commingle with steel, copper, etc - Separate materials, copper with copper, steel with steel, etc Each time someone from your membership or community recycles with Sadoff, all they need to do is let the scale operator in the office know that the material being sold is for your particular organization s account. After the transaction is complete, the value of the scrap sold will go directly to your organization s account where it will build until you request payment or your payment cycle comes due.
