4 High Impact Program Description of Executive Mentor Program: Undergraduate and graduate students are partnered one-on-one with local business executives to network and establish connections. The mentor serves as a coach and role model to the student, sharing personal, business and professional experience, knowledge and skills to help the student prepare for and be ready to enter the business world. Goals & Objectives: Prepare students for successful careers in business by integrating academic learning with real-world experiences. Become a model for workforce readiness, embraced by the community and by the University.

Increase the area s competitiveness as a destination for business talent, helping attract, retain and grow businesses and create jobs in Northwest Florida. Educate the next generation of business leaders who will shape the destiny of Northwest Florida and the state.

9 Student Eligibility Requirements Must be a full-time College of Business student Juniors, Seniors and Graduate students 3.0 GPA or higher A competitive program, the selection process includes an application and interview, where the student s campus and community service, prior academic and leadership experience, willingness to be an active participant, and ability to maintain academic goals are also considered.

10 Student Responsibilities Students drive the relationship Participants must attend orientation Students need to take an active role in contacting his/her mentor and planning meeting times Students must commit to meeting monthly at the mentors' workplace or other business venue 1 2 hours per month

11 Mentor Eligibility Requirements Amicable and nurturing personality Business and professional experience Possess a network of friends, associates, colleagues, co-workers, and family from whom to draw on as resources to assist the student mentee. Business ethics and integrity

12 Executive Mentor Responsibilities Meet with the student at workplace or other business venue 1 2 hours per month. Provide support and encouragement Offer advice and constructive criticism Provide access to key organizational or professional circles Demonstrate qualities successful business leaders possess Help students clarify goals and enjoy seeing students reach them
