I participated in several of SIGMIS's global activities, including our ICIS sponsorship and reception in Milan and our most recent CPR conference in Singapore.

5 In 2007, I attended my first SIGMIS Computer Personnel Research (CPR) conference as a participant in the Doctoral Consortium in St. Louis, MO. Since then, in addition to my position as Secretary/Treasurer, I have participated in multiple SIGMIS CPR conferences as an author and reviewer on the conference committee. I am eager to continue to serve the SIGMIS community and I look forward to assuming a higher leadership role.

In my opinion, ACM SIGMIS CPR is one of the most influential special interest groups as our body of research is exemplar and critical to management and use of IT. As Secretary-Treasurer, I would like to continue the stability and organization laid previously. I would also like to focus on efforts to disseminate information to stakeholders and grow membership and awareness of our group.

This is one of the oldest ACM special interest groups that promotes best-practice and research in management information systems. Through the networking opportunities I have had at the CPR conference, I have met and learned from countless creative and talented scholars who offered their experience and friendship; this networking kept me motivated to continue doing research in MIS and IT education.
