Brief Profile Prof. Dr. SHAILENDRA J. NAIK has a wide teaching experience of 3 years in Petroleum Engineering. Currently, he is teaching Artificial Lifting Techniques, Surface and Subsurface Production Operations and related courses in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at MAHARASHTRA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, Kothrud, PUNE-38 Teaching Policy I want my student to make best out of every opportunity and Industrial exposure that they will going to get for their professional development. To make best of the opportunity that they get is crucial for their true professional development. I see teaching as involving a reciprocal relationship between teachers and students. I believe that teachers have duties to their students and that students have duties to their teachers. I believe in making of a competent Petroleum Engineer. For this to happen student need to acquire fundamental knowledge of Petroleum Engineering. They also need to know the technological advancement that is taking place and the direction in which the oil and gas Industry is moving.
