ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY The University formerly known as Bhopal University was established in 1970 in the capital city of Madhya Pradesh. In 1988, it was rechristened as the Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya, in the living memory of the great freedom fighter, Prof. Maulana Barkatullah who belonged to Bhopal. The University campus, covering an area of approx. 360 acres of land, is located along Jabalpur Jaipur National highway (NH- 12) at a distance of about 3 kms from the Habibganj Railway Station. The University complex includes various teaching departments like Life sciences, Law, Humanities, Social Science, Physics, Pharmacy, Management Applied Geology, Institute of Technology and Institute of Open and Distance Education, Library, Faculty club. There are postgraduate, certificate and diploma courses along with M. Phil programmes, post-doctoral fellowship, etc. which caters regional and national needs. In addition to the conventional courses, the university also offers several innovative and job-oriented courses with major emphasis on interdisciplinary teaching and research. 2. ABOUT THE PROGRAMME Two years M.S. programme in Cyber Law & Information Security (Under Faculty of Engineering) at Barkatullah University, Bhopal aims for development of technological and engineering powers of the highest quality, to meet the needs of educational institutions, Research & Development organizations industries and banking sector. With these goals, this programme is designed to develop and sharpen the conceptual and intellectual skills of the students. ELIGIBILITY 4.1 The minimum qualification for the admission to the first year classes shall be passing of the Bachelor degree in Law or in any Engineering discipline or Post Graduation with one of the papers as computer application/ programming/ fundamentals. 4.2 Reservations shall be applicable as per norms of the state government of Madhya Pradesh. 4.3 Valid and qualified GATE / NET with JRF score card holder will be given priority. 4.4 Maximum age of candidate at the time of admission will be as per rules of M.P. Government. 5. TOTAL INTAKE There will be total 25 seats for session Reservation on these seats will be according to rules of government of Madhya Pradesh. 6. HOW TO APPLY Candidate seeking for admission in Two years M.S. program in Cyber Law & Information Security can apply through Online or Offline mode. To apply Online candidate has to fill application form available at and pay required fee. On the other hand to apply offline candidate need to fill form which is available on institute website & pay the required fee with demand draft in favor of REGISTRAR, BARKATULLAH UNIVERSITY of Rs. 300/- for GN/OBC candidates, & Rs. 150/- for SC/ST candidates. 5 7. FEE STRUCTURE The course fee for MS program is 72000/- (18000/- per Semester) (Course fee can be changed at any time by the university without any prior notice) 8. ADMISSION PROCEDURE: Admissions to the Two year MS Programme will be through the selection on merit basis which will be declared by the University.
