1 The original Dashboard that has been in the New EDW since 2008 is a Leading Indicator report to assist the Schools and District in monitoring the three mountains in the Academic Business Plan. The mountains are Safe Environment, Literacy, and Graduation and Dropout Status. This report will continue to be produced. The EDW team has developed a new Dashboard, the School Accountability Dashboard, to assist School, District, and Area administrators to monitor all cells for Accountability and know whether or not a school is making progress or is at risk. 1

2 The School Accountability Dashboard has many new features. One is that it can be accessed through a a new link directly from the EDW Access Page. If a New EDW user is associated directly with a school, the user will enter the school s report directly. For example, at Lake Worth High School, the principal, AP s, guidance counselors, coaches, or any other staff members having District or School access to New EDW would go directly to the Lake Worth High School s School Accountability Dashboard without having to select a school. All area and District users not associated with a specific school can still access the report using this link but would need to select a school. 2

3 There are four sections to the Dashboard: A+, AYP, Non-FCAT Based Components, and Key Results. As always in the EDW, when we see Red, we pay attention, Yellow means we are holding our own, and Green, we are doing well or making improvement. 3

4 For the A+ section, you are able to see how you are doing compared to the standard and self for the fall and winter for Reading, Math, and Science. 4

5 For the AYP section, you are able to see how you are doing compared to the standard and self for the fall and winter for Reading and Math. 5

6 For the Non-FCAT component for High Schools, you can see how you are doing compared to self using last year s values provided by the FDOE. 6

7 We also monitor three Key Results, Out-of-School Suspensions, Dropout percentage, and excessive Absences. 7

8 Another enhancement in this Dashboard is the ability to drill through to summary reports by clicking the green A+ or AYP buttons or either of the Total Points lights. 8

9 The A+ and AYP buttons drill to the Monitoring Progress Toward A+ and AYP Goals reports respectively and the Total Points lights drill to the Monitoring Progress Toward A+ Goals for High Schools report. 9

10 Once you recognize an area you need to pay attention to, you may want to know which students are affecting this Dashboard. All of the lights in the aqua drill through to student listing reports. 10

11 The A+ and AYP lights drill through to the applicable subject area Accountability Profile, the non-fcat lights drill to applicable Potential Students for HS Graduation and At-Risk Rate reports, Accelerated Participation in AP report, and Potential Students for Postsecondary Readiness reports. 11

14 You now see all of the values for each component in the Dashboard, including the values for each subgroup in the AYP section. 14

15 Let s look at three schools: What do we see? Right now, the first school needs to pay attention to Math and Science for A+, at least one subgroup did not meet the proficiency or Safe Harbor standard for Reading and Math, and the Graduation and At Risk Rates need attention, perhaps because Community Service Hours have not yet been entered. 15

16 For the second school, at least one subgroup did not meet the proficiency or Safe Harbor standard for Reading, math has improved and all subgroups met at least the Safe Harbor target for math (taupe). The Graduation and At Risk Rates, as well as the Accelerated Course Participation, need attention. 16

17 The third school needs to pay attention to reading, math, and science for A+, reading and math for AYP, and the same areas for non-fcat as the second school. If you have any questions, please contact our Area EDW Specialists. 17
