Business operations included procurement services, distribution services, risk management and safety, general accounting, accounts payable, bursar, student loan accounting and collections, investment management and accounting, debt management and accounting, bookstore operations, auxiliary accounting, business liaison for food services, travel services, completion of university financial statements, and rental property accounting. Major Accomplishments: Completed the largest single bond issuance in the history of the university ($58 million) and an auxiliary system bond deal that received the lowest interest rate in the history of state of Indiana higher education bond issuance. Presented debt service plans and reviewed current debt information with the Indiana Finance Authority and began work in completing biennial budget worksheets for the state budget process. Assisted the Vice President for Government and University Relations by participating in selected legislative events and receptions University of Southern Indiana Evansville, Indiana Controller and Business Office Director Responsible for accounting and business office operations, reporting directly to the Assistant Treasurer. Business office operations included general accounting, accounts payable, bursar, student loan accounting and collections, auxiliary accounting, investment accounting, business liaison for food services, travel services, completion of university financial statements, and rental property accounting. Major Accomplishments: Served as Assistant Treasurer during periods of absence, participated as a member of the business office budget and planning committee, assumed the responsibility for completing university financial statements. 3 Banner Project Manager Banner project manager for a campus wide administrative system implementation, reporting directly to the Banner Steering Committee, consisting of the Provost and all of the vice presidents from the functional areas of the university. Maintained food service liaison role during the implementation but otherwise solely focused on the project. Duties included the development of a project plan, managing implementation resources, monitoring project milestones, scheduling training sessions, monitoring project scope, chairing the Banner Steering Committee and project team, completing monthly project reports, and communicating the project status with the university community. Duties included all elements of the accounting function. Major Accomplishment: Assigned the responsibility of the mainframe accounting system which controlled all reporting and accounting operational aspects.
