2 Ribbon Cutting: Biggby Coffee Free Health Clinic Capernaum is a coalition of local churches and volunteers to provide health care for those who, for whatever reason, currently find themselves without adequate coverage. Medical doctors, dental hygienists, and nurses will be available to provide care and assistance. In addition, there will be someone available to assist people with signing up for Medicaid expansion (Healthy Michigan Plan). The location for the clinic in January will be at First United Methodist Church (640 South Lafayette, South Lyon). 5 Lyon Township Book Signing Images of America Lyon Township is available for purchase. This historical book and photographs capture the faces, buildings, and landscape of the Township in days gone by. Learn about the determination of the pioneers, everyday people, the movers and shakers, and the institutions that were the backbone of the community. The reader will travel through the past to modern day Lyon Township, which is the fastest growing community in Oakland County, Michigan. One of the authors, John Bell will provide additional images and share personal anecdotal comments during a book signing that will also feature a presentation on the history of Lyon Township.
