2 Focus Parents will leave this evening with key websites and login information to better assist students from home. Please make sure to pick up a Take-Home sheet with key web addresses and places to complete login and password information.

3 Key websites recommended and used by Bradley teachers: Math Textbook Language Arts Textbook Study Island Discovery Education BrainPop Quizlet Khan Academy Accelerated Reader Home Connect Edmodo Glogster

4 Math Textbook Web address Login/password- Students would have been given login information from their math teacher. Login information will be in the Agenda. Description - This website offers practice with skills taught through the math curriculum. Students can access the textbook including extra features such as online manipulatives. There is a parent information letter for each unit.

5 Language Arts Textbook Web address Login/password- Students were given a username and password by their language arts teacher. That information should be in their Agenda. Description - Students have access to the textbook and various resources to further skills. Many of the stories have an audio option. There is a writing program that allows students to upload their paper and have it scored immediately.

6 Study Island Web address Login/password- Each student has his/her own username and password. Student login information will be in your child s Agenda. Description - Study Island offers practice on skills in reading, math, social studies, and science. Students can practice on their own, or teachers will make assignments based on areas of weakness or class focus.

7 Discovery Education Web address Login/password- username - studentid#_cms password studentid# Description - Discovery Education has a wealth of information for students to help further understanding or explain topics. Science and Social Studies tend to benefit the most.

8 Brainpop Web address Login/password- Username fbms password brainpop Description - Brainpop offers tutorials in many subjects. Students can listen to the tutorials and take quizzes based on each lesson.

9 Quizlet Web address Login/password- students create this Description - Quizlet is great for studying vocabulary and terms. It allows students to create stacks of flashcards for any subject. It also offers a few games to help with memorization.

10 Khan Academy Web address Login/password- You may create your own account or access many lessons for free. Description - This is a wonderful site designed to help students better understand a given topic. It can help parents brush up on skills they have not used in a while. With over 2800 videos, it is easily the most exhaustive collection of instruction on the internet allowing learners to know that they can fill in almost any of their "gaps" with the content on this site. 11 Accelerated Reader Home Connect Web address Login/password- Students either brought home or will be bringing home a letter with your login information. Description - You will be able to sign up for s to notify you when your child takes an AR Test, and you can access AR Reports with vital information about your child s success with AR.

12 Edmodo Web address Login/password- Students create their own username and password. Teachers will give the student a class code that allows them to join a particular block. You can contact your child s teacher to get the parent code for your child so that you can see what your child is accomplishing on Edmodo. Description - Edmodo is a forum for teachers and students to communicate about school assignments. Teachers can post assignments, assign online quizzes, take class polls, and do other various online activities. All posts go through the teacher, and students can use a class code to access multiple classes within the school.

13 Glogster EDU Web address Login/password- Your child will get his/her login information in the next week or so. Description - Glogster EDU provides students with an opportunity to create online projects/posters, which can include videos, links, and other interactive elements. Each student will receive his/her own account and will be able to create multi-media projects to be used in any class at Bradley this year.
