1 I BELORUSSIAN BIOCHEMICAL CONGRESS Current Problems in Biochemistry Grodno, July 5-6, 2016 First Announcement DEAR COLLEAGUES, The Organizing Committee invites you to take part in the First Belorussian Biochemical Congress which will be held on July 5-6, 2016 at the Institute of, in the city of Grodno, Republic of The aim of the Congress is to discuss cardinal trends in development of modern biochemistry, molecular biology and biotechnology as well as to work out a program of development of the sian Biochemical Society for.the years to come. The important task is extension of international cooperation, cooperation of biochemists working in different fields of biochemistry as well as discussion and design of new collaborative programs and projects. The Congress will contribute to enhancement of the activities of the Belorussian Biochemical Society, extension of international cooperation, establishment of new and development of existing scientific contacts as well as elaboration of new promising research projects. The program of the Congress will contain lectures on the most important trends in modern biochemistry as well as the most interesting presentations of Congress participants. It is also planned to publish a book of papers of the Congress participants and to hold an individual workshop for young scientists, biochemists of the Republic of. 1

One author can submit only one paper. The paper will not be accepted unless the payment confirmation is supplied. Attention of young scientists: There is going to be a competition of works of young scientists during the Congress a special symposium. Scientists aged up to 35 years having no academic degree are invited to take part in The Competition of Young Scientists. The authors without any co-authors may submit only one paper. To conduct a preliminary expertise, both hard and e-copies (2 copies) of a 6-page competition paper prepared according to the preparation instructions together with an application (see the application sample), a letter of referral and recommendation of a research advisor are submitted to the Organizing Committee until May 15, The documents should be marked with the 1CBB-2016 M note. The winners will be awarded with diplomas and a prize. 4

5 Instructions for article preparation Please type the text single - spaced using Microsoft Word (version 2007), Times New Roman type, 14-pitch size. No hyphenation is used, the indentation is 1 cm and the margins are 20 mm. The length of the article (including summary in English and references) should not exceed 6 pages. The title (boldface font, in the centre), authors names (italics, in the centre), institution (centered) and the text should be separated by a line space. The text should not contain more than 2 figures (black-and-white) in TTF and JPEC. Please send the figures as a separate file. Use 12-pitch size for figure legends. Please arrange the text as follows: introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion and conclusion. No more than 15 references in square brackets are included in order of their quotation. Abbreviations are deciphered after their first mentioning in the text and remain unchanged throughout the paper. The Organizing Committee reserves the right of reviewing the materials. The materials will be published according to the review results. Papers not accepted for publication are not returned.
