In the 15 years that we have been operating we have trained pilots to the highest standards that are now working all over the globe as first officers and captains for the world s major airlines. Today 2FLY Aerodynamics owns 17 airplanes, more than 1600m2 of training facilities and 1200m2 of hangar space in La Axarquía aerodrome with its own aircraft maintenance service provided by our in-house maintenance company - Málaga Air Maintenance. All Aerodynamics Career Academy ATO courses have been fully approved by EASA. 5 aviation in europe The European aviation market is currently experiencing a rapid growth, with airlines constantly searching for qualified pilots. Over the next 20 years European airlines are forecast to acquire more than 7,300 new aircraft, thus creating even more jobs for air crew. Air transport makes a key contribution to the European economy, with more than 100 scheduled airlines, a network of over 400 airports, and 60 air navigation service providers. The aviation sector directly employs between million people and directly or indirectly supports million jobs. Aviation directly contributes more than 110 billion to the European GDP. Some 900 million passengers departed or arrived at EU airports in Linking people and regions, air transport plays a vital role in the integration and competitiveness of Europe, as well as its interaction with the world. Boeing projects a worldwide demand for 38,050 new airplanes over the next 20 years, an increase of 3.5 percent from last year s forecast. Boeing released its annual Current Market Outlook (CMO) on June 11th, estimating the total value of those new airplanes at $5.6 trillion. Single-aisle airplanes will comprise the majority of deliveries, representing a 79 percent share of total deliveries.

6 What is it like to be a Pilot? With great responsibility comes great reward Pilot s have always enjoyed an exciting, well respected and prestigious status in society. A career in aviation provides the means for financial stability and the opportunity to travel around the world. These are some of the many advantages to consider when deciding a future career to embark on. Traditional higher education usually consists of four or more years of studying with uncertain career prospects at the end. Airline Pilot Training can be completed in 18 months, giving new cadets the opportunity to start to work as first officers straight away. This makes a very good case to invest in yourself today for a brighter future tomorrow. As a newly qualified first officer you will work alongside a captain, usually on short-haul flights to provide you with experience. Once you have achieved 1,500 hours of flying time (500 of that must be in an aircraft which requires more than one crew member to operate ), your Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) will become unfrozen and you will be issued with a full ATPL. This is what is required to progress to the role of captain. Minimum age requirement for ATPL issue is 21 years of age.

7 Salary and Conditions How much can a pilot earn from the beginning of their career to a few years down the line? Salaries vary according to the airline that you are employed with, the type of aircraft you are flying and your experience. The starting salary for a newly qualified first officer working for a small operation may be around 28,000. Starting salaries for those in larger companies are higher at around 29,000 to 31,500 Starting salaries for national carriers (e.g. British Airways, Iberia) will be higher. Salaries for more experienced pilots range from 48,000 to 63,000 in a first officer role. The starting salary for a captain with a medium-sized airline may range from 63,000 to 103,000, while those with the major operators could earn from 130,000 to more than 185,000. A pilot s salary is often incremental, rising with each year of service with the company. Benefits usually include a pension scheme and various allowances. These can include: free housing, car, petrol, private schooling for children, medical insurance and flights whilst working abroad. Being a pilot is not a nine-to-five job and unusual working hours should be expected. The length of a working day varies depending on the company and route but can range from three to twelve hours. The start times of a day will often differ depending on the route, sometimes beginning in the early morning and sometimes late at night. As pilots can often be on standby duty, they generally need to live near the airport where they are based so they can get there at relatively short notice. Pilots are restricted to 900 flying hours per year. On scheduled airlines, the workload is spread evenly throughout the year; on charter airlines, the summer months are busier than the winter months. The majority of commercial airline pilots are men, but more women are now entering the profession.

8 Fast-Track Career Programme Stage 1 (approx. 6 months) PPL This program is designed for people who wish to attain the Airline Transport Pilot Licence, forming a part of a flight crew. Practicing all the attributions and privileges of the following: PPL, CPL, ME, IR, fatpl, MCC and FI or Type Rating (A320/B737) A fast-track EASA ATPL course delivered in The Spanish Riviera. Culminating in jet training on a Full Flight Airbus simulator. The best value and quality ATPL course on the market. The Private Pilot Licence confers on the holder a privilege to act as the pilot in command of various types of aircraft. The holder of a PPL may not operate an aircraft with any form of reward, either financial or in kind Hour building 130 hours as pilot in command including a 300 NM cross country flight as PIC. This can also be done in parallel with the ATPL theory.

9 Stage 2 atpl theory (approx. 6 months) Stage 3 (approx. 4 months) There are 14 ATPL subjects : Air Law Aircraft General Knowledge: Airframe/Systems/Powerplant Aircraft General Knowledge: Instrumentation Mass and Balance Performance Flight Planning and Monitoring Human Performance Meteorology General Navigation Radio Navigation Operational Procedures Principles of Flight VFR Communications IFR Communications CPL The Commercial Pilot Licence allows the holder to act as the pilot in command of an aircraft for financial reward in single pilot operations. It also permits the holder to act as a co-pilot of a multi-crew aircraft for which they are qualified. ME IR The Multi-Engine Rating allows the licence holder to operate a twin engine aircraft. The Instrument Rating allows the licence holder to fly in instrument meteorological conditions, including day/night flights (non VFR conditions). MCC The MCC Course introduces the fatpl holder to a multicrew environment. All courses are delivered by experienced Captains on an advanced FNPTII EASA approved simulator. Human Factors in aviation are explored during these courses, along with Crew Resource Management (CRM). A solid knowledge of these subjects is essential for airline applicants.

10 Becoming a Pilot at 2fly Aerodynamics. An average day of a cadet in our school is divided in two parts, half of the day theory in classroom and the other half either SIM hours or at the airport flying. Stage 4 (approx. 2 months) Depending on the career path to be followed, there are two options. Option 1: Flight Instructor Working as a flight instructor enables a rapid and sure way to gain valuable work experience and flight hours. FI skills are highly regarded by airlines during the recruitment process. Flight instructors can teach from PPL ab initio to CPL ME IR. Option 2: Type Rating Training to choose from: TR A-320, TR A-330, TR A-340, TR B-757, TR B-767, TR B-747 Admission and requirements Our cadets are, and always have been, selected on the basis of their talent and their potential, whatever their personal, social or national background. 11 Accommodation for our cadets Your experience as a new cadet isn t only determined by the quality of your course and training. Where you live is important too to make the most of your experience. Having no time to waste as a New cadets arriving in a new city have no time to waste. By providing our students with accommodation, the only thing left to do is unpack and get ready to fly. Our apartments are fully equipped to high standards, comfortable bedrooms with a study desk, air conditioning, wifi, laundry facilities and kitchen fitted with all the appliances for a pleasant self catered stay. The school and its accommodation is in and around the heart of the city centre of Malaga, so you re never far from all that the city has to offer. The city is very compact, so it s easy to get around and cadets won t have to travel far to get to lessons. Everything you need is walking distance from our centrally located accommodation. MALAGA CITY Malaga with its two thousand-eight hundred years of history is one of the oldest cities in Europe. The centre of Malaga is a place where you can spend hours and return to visit without ever getting bored; there s so much to see that it s impossible to even enumerate. Malaga is rich in culture, modernity and historical monuments. It s a cosmopolitan city, capital of the Costa del Sol. With a major airport (Malaga International Airport) the city is well connected to the most important cities in Europe and the world. The city experienced the greatest civilizations of the Mediterranean, from the Phoenicians and the Greeks to the Romans, thanks to the strategic location of the port, an important site along the trade routes since ancient times. There are dozens of activities to do in Malaga: outdoors activities, cultural visits to the museums or archaeological remains, enjoying the sun on the beach or practicing water sports among many other things to do in Malaga. Malaga nightlife, and the summers at its beaches, are famous in all over the world, you can find at Malaga some beach pubs which opens during the whole day, at night there are people dancing on the sand, with music, drinks and all a night pub can offer. By the day a bar where drink or maybe eat; but this happen not only during the summer-season neither only at the beach, all the year through you will find an animated nightlife.
