a AERONAUTICS Do you love to travel? Perhaps you enjoy the freedom of flying. Do you have a passion for airplanes? Are you talented with the ability to make things work? Do you want a real-world experience? Perhaps you like mechanics. Maybe you see yourself as a pilot. Whatever your interests, the field of aviation probably has a place for you. The aviation, aerospace and air transportation industries employ over two million individuals, including pilots and maintenance technicians. Our graduates have entered a variety of aviation-related occupations: mission pilots and mechanics; air traffic controllers; pilots and flight crew members or mechanics of corporate, commercial, military, air ambulance and state departments. The aeronautics program at Andrews University can make these and many other options a reality for you. Your ambitions will be connected with real experiences. Whether you want to become a pilot, flight instructor or maintenance specialist, we will give you the practical training and skills you ll need. Designed specifically for students who desire quality education and real-world experience, the aviation program is committed to excellence, integrity and practicality.
AVIATION GRADUATES WORK FOR MAJOR AIRLINE COMPANIES LIKE: > American Airlines > Continental Airlines > Jet Blue Airlines > Northwest Airlines > Skywest Airlines > United Airlines
a CHOOSE ANDREWS Our Mission Our mission is to serve our fellow man, our Church and our Lord through the professions offered in aviation. The aviation program endeavors to provide a positive and quality Christian setting for learning, personal growth and interaction with Christian teachers as it prepares its students to meet the growing demands and high standards of the aviation industry. Why Choose Andrews? Andrews University aviation programs offer technical training in the context of a spiritual atmosphere. Our programs and faculty are specifically focused on helping you achieve your goals. We operate our own fleet of single- and multi-engine aircraft, all professionally maintained by our own FAA-approved repair station. Also among our strengths are the diverse educational, training and employment opportunities available both during study and upon graduation. We work hard to ensure that you are connected with the right people and places to take your ambitions and turn them into real experiences. Degrees Offered We offer Bachelor of Technology (BT) and Associate of Technology (AT) degrees, with the option of pursuing one of two paths: flight or maintenance. BT students also may choose to combine two of the specialization options flight, maintenance or business or they may combine other areas to meet specific career goals.
a FLIGHT I REALLY APPRECIATED THE FRIENDLINESS AND PROFESSIONALISM OF THE INSTRUCTORS AT ANDREWS. I WAS ABLE TO GET AN INTERNSHIP FLYING FOR A SMALL AIRLINE IN THE SOLOMON ISLANDS WHICH GAVE ME THE EDGE WHEN APPLYING FOR AN AIRLINE JOB. KEITH MORRILL, FIRST OFFICER, US AIR EXPRESS Degrees Offered > BT in Flight Flight and Maintenance Flight and Business > AT in Flight Employment Options > Aerial Firefighter > Air Ambulance Pilot > Air Taxi Pilot > Airline Pilot > Agriculture Pilot > Cargo Transport Pilot > Corporate Pilot > Flight Dispatcher > Flight Instructor > Mission Pilot > Simulator Instructor
Andrews University was a great environment to learn and develop skills needed in the industry. It also gives the student an opportunity to interact with other Adventists, refine their beliefs and test their character. After school, I interviewed for a job at a FAA Repair Station. My employer was very impressed with the education and technical licenses that I received through Andrews University and offered me a job right there. Later, I was approached with an opportunity to teach at Lansing Community College Aviation Department which I did for a couple years. The discipline of studies established in all the seventh-day adventist schools I attended allowed for personal studies that resulted in more licenses and advancements in the aviation industry. TODD D. CASWELL, CLASS OF 1998
I have received flight training all over the country and I feel that the best experience I had was with Andrews. There is no other flight school that cares about their students on a personal and spiritual basis. Every time I fly medevac out here in Iraq, I rely on the training you guys gave me which is the foundation of my flight skills. The training that I received from you helps me help our American service men/women each flight. John P. neidlinger, US Armed services
