5 Adjust For Door Thickness f. Slide the Outside Mounting Plte bck ginst the Adjustment Ring nd secure it by screwing the two Screw Posts bck into the Threded Posts on the Mounting Plte. Tighten firmly. e. Rotte the Adjustment Ring until the 35mm notches on the ring re ligned with the Lugs. Slide the Adjustment Ring ginst the Lugs. d. Slide the Mounting Plte bck. Locte the Adjustment Ring nd slide it bck lso. c. If your door is closer to 1-3/8" (35mm) thick, the position of the Outside Mounting Plte must be djusted. Use Phillips Hed Screwdriver to loosen the two Screw Posts tht hold the Mounting Plte. b. Your lockset is pre-set for 1-3/4" door. If your door thickness is bout 1-3/4", proceed to Step 2.. Mesure your door thickness. It should be 1-3/8" (35mm) or 1-3/4" (45mm). If in between these numbers, round to the nerest of those two thicknesses. STEP 1 IMPORTANT! 6 Determine Your Type of Door Select Approprite Ltch Instll Ltch b. Insert two (S1) Ltch Screws in the fceplte holes nd tighten. c. After instlltion, you should be ble to see the Ltch Prongs nd Ltch Til(s) through the 2-1/8" bore in the door s shown. If not, review Step 3. Select Approprite Ltch.. Insert the ltch into the 1" (25.4mm) hole in the door edge s shown. Be sure the sloping fce of the ltch bolt is fcing towrds the door jmb. STEP 4 b. Select the 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm) ltch bsed on the bckset of your door. (Most residentil doors hve 2-3/8" bckset.). Bckset is the distnce from the door edge to the center of the 2-1/8" (54mm) hole on the door fce. STEP 3 c. After instlltion, you will PUSH the lever to enter room with n In-Swinging Door, or PULL the lever to enter room with n Out-Swinging Door. b. The Min Lock Body lwys goes on the outside fce of the door. For Out-Swinging Doors, the outside fce is the side of the door on which the hinges re visible.. The Push-Pull-Rotte Lever cn be instlled on both In-Swinging Doors (doors tht re pushed into the room to enter from outside) nd Out-Swinging Doors (doors tht re pulled open to enter room from outside). 7 Instll the Min Lock Body Instll the Inside Mounting Plte nd Rose Instll Inside Lever c. Test instlltion by pushing, pulling nd rotting the lever. b. Tighten the (S3) screw locted on the inside of the lever. The screw will engge the hole in the Spindle.. Push the Inside Lever onto the Spindle until it stops. STEP 7 c. Instll the Inside Rose by ligning with the notches on the Mounting Plte nd snpping it on. b. Insert the two (S2) Mounting Screws nd engge the threded holes in the Min Lock Body. Tighten firmly.. Plce the Inside Mounting Plte over the Min Lock Body nd ginst the inside door fce with the mounting holes ligned verticlly. Position the mounting plte so it reds FACE OUT when it is ginst the door. STEP 6 d. Test by rotting the lever - the ltch bolt should retrct. c. Mke sure tht the Cylindricl Cse engges with the Ltch Prongs nd the Retrctor interlocks with the Ltch Til.. Insert the Min Lock Body through the 2-1/8" (54mm) hole in the door. b. Look through the hole from the inside of the door to guide the Min Lock Body. This will increse the force necessry to PUSH or PULL the lever. For best results, re-position the Strike Plte so there is no force ginst the bolt. g. The PUSH nd PULL functions work best when the ltch bolt cn move freely in nd out of the Strike Plte. Troubleshooting f. PUSH the button to lock. The lever cnnot be locked with the key. To unlock use the key or operte the inside lever. To Lock e. To exit the room, PUSH the inside lever or rotte the lever in either direction. d. To open the door from the outside, PULL the outside lever or rotte the lever in either direction. Out-Swinging Doors c. To exit the room, PULL the inside or rotte the lever in either direction. b. To open the door from the outside, PUSH the outside lever or rotte the lever in either direction. In-Swinging Doors PUSH-PULL Lever Opertion. Alwys PUSH or PULL the lever ner the end s shown for best results. STEP 9 b. It is importnt for Push-Pull-Rotte Locks for the Ltch Bolt to move freely in nd out of the Strike Plte.. Secure the Strike Plte with two (S4) Strike Plte Screws. Tighten firmly. Mke sure tht the Dedlocking Plunger is depressed by the Strike Plte nd does not enter the hole in the plte. STEP 8
