7 96 Study of the cognitive psychological processing model of target language production in simultaneous interpretation by HU Yuanjiang & MA Guanghui Abstract The paper explores the cognitive psychological model of target language production in simultaneous interpretation when the meaning of source language is transformed into messages of interpretation. According to the principle of simplicity and generalization of a model some adjustments are made on Kormos 2006 cognitive psychological blueprint of bilingual speech production to get the current model The source of messages in conceptualizer is represented as an explicit device source language meaning the components of formulator are adjusted and thus consist of grammatical encoder and phonological encoder based on Levelt s 1989 model the episodic memory is enlarged as L1 & L2 episodic memory the device of L2 declarative rules is enlarged as target language declarative knowledge. Following the principle of incremental processing the production in different stages is processed autonomously and in parallel. The model adequately describes the cognitive psychological production process from conceptualizer formulator to articulator and the conversion from meaning code speech code to physical and sound code. Key words La fabrique des traducteurs translation training literary and cultural exchanges The acculturation of the heroine of Mamma Mia in its Chinese translation by HAN Qimin Abstract The paper examines the recasting of the image of Donna the heroine of the musical Mamma Mia in its Chinese translation from the perspective of acculturation in theatrical translation and argues that acculturation in translation has accommodated the image of the protagonist to the aesthetic expectation of the target audience improved her acceptability in the Chinese culture and shortened the distance between her and the Chinese audience. The potential cultural conflict between the western heroine and the Chinese audience has therefore been eased which has contributed to the successful staging and viewing of the Chinese language production of the musical.
