6 Year 4 Links to Literacy Speaking and listening, language of analysis, and writing instructional texts. Year 4 Links to SMSC Children have direct links to songs and musical instruments from around the word. They work together to play in a band / ensemble building their understanding of teamwork and social skills. Children also have the opportunity to challenge themselves to learn more about music and build self motivation strategies through the use of avators on the website. Year 4 Enrichment Opportunities Children can bring their own instruments from home so they can play along with the song. Music sheets can be found on. Children can also create their own avatars on where they can practise at playtimes and watch their characters grow and progress as they learn more about their instruments. Children also have the ability to monitor progression with children from other schools via the website.
