1 CALIFORNIA CABERNET SAUVIGNON Cabernet Sauvignon grapes give a wine that is distinctive, and most who have tasted it would recognize it again even when blended with other grape varieties. The characteristic smell and flavor bring forth references to violets, black currants, eucalyptus, tar, and in older wines, chocolate and charcoal. It should not be surprising to find echoes of fruits and flowers in Cabernet Sauvignon, however; all wines share at least traces of most of the acids, alcohol s, and testers occurring in everything from pineapple to roses. Nice palate with good structure and very concentrated fruit on the silky long finish CRIANZA TEMPRANILLO RIBERA DEL DUERO VINA MAYOR Excellent Ribera crianza here. It has a smooth, appealing bouquet of candied berry fruit, which is followed by a rich palate of cassis, black cherry, prune, chocolate and coffee GRANACHE VINAS VIEJAS EVOHE This fruit-driven wine has gobs of black fruit flavors, a supple texture, and very good length. The fresh and smooth tannins are totally integrated. This is Garnacha at its best 2007 RIOJA RESERVA VINA EGUIA This wine is a bright, ruby red color, with brick red hints. Aromas of vanilla, spiced and aromatic herbs, elegant and rounded structure with a long very pleasing finish RIOJA FINCAS DE LANDALUCE Classic scents of briar and white pepper, overlaying a dark fruit profile of fig and cassis, very deep and intense, with a dark fruit on the long rich finish.

5 TEMPRANILLO 2008 BODEGAS M PASO ROBLES Exhibiting aromas of candied apple and ripe blackberries, with flavors of cherry pie, and a spicy chocolate finish of Mexican mole. GRACIANO 2006 BOKISCH MOKELUMNE RIVER-LODI Exhibiting robust aromas reminiscent of blackberry jam on toast and ripe figs, ending with spicy cedar notes. Combined with earthy truffles and sagebrush a lingering finish. SANGIOVESE 2008 RUSACK SANTA YNEZ VALLEY Aromas of blackberries and plums are complemented by spice, toasty oak and cedar notes.
