The various shades are all able to be mixed and provide 100% white hair coverage, with the exception of the shades in the Ash series (0.1 /0.14 /0.13). 6 SENS.US Cosmetic Fix A fluid and creamy activator with low oxidant value, in 1000ml containers. Its formula consists of very low amounts of Hydrogen Peroxide and has been developed to activate the colouring molecules without bleaching the hair. 7 Instructions How to mix for white hair coverage. As previously indicated, when using shades in the Ash series, it is necessary to use natural shades in the mix. This table indicates the percentages to mix from the Ash Series (0.1 /0.13 /0.14) and the Natural Series: Percentage white hair Natural Series Ash Series 0 40% ¼ ¾ 40 70% ½ ½ % ¾* ¼ * This method is recommended when using the Viola (violet) series. The numeric system of SENS.US CREAM COLOR Hi PERFORMANCE. A numeric system easily represents single tones. In analysing hair colour, two components are particularly important: 1. Tone: How light or dark is the hair? 2. Colour Highlights: What highlights are prominent? 7

8 1 TONE LIFT Colours have different lustre & intensity grades in Osward s colour scheme. These grades range from 1 to 11 and from this number scheme, the following tone shades are represented: 11.0 Super High Lift 10.0 Blonde - Platinum 9.0 Blonde Very light 8.0 Blonde - Light 7.0 Blonde 6.0 Blonde - Dark 5.0 Brown - Light 4.0 Brown 3.0 Brown - Dark 1.0 Black The numeric system with the tone shade is from the ICC (International Colour Code). 2 COLOUR HIGHLIGHT: The combination of tone and colour highlight generates the variety of shades:.1 ash.3 golden.4 copper.5 red.6 mahogany.7 violet 8

9 NUMBERS WITH TWO DIGITS When double digits are shown after the point, it means the shade is made up of two highlights the primary one (represented by the first number) and a secondary one (represented by the second number). Eg: 7.34 In this case, the main highlight is golden and the secondary one is copper. It s an ideal aid for coverage when using shades from the Ash series. Warm Natural (.03) The Warm Natural range is formulated with ¾ Natural and ¼ Golden, and is great for those who love more brilliant shades and for those warm mediterranean types; guarantees 100% white hair coverage. It s also ideal to aid coverage for the Ash series or shades which are more highlighted, when a high percentage of white hair can give a unsatisfactory result. 9

10 Light Natural (nl) The Light Natural range was created for those who love softer tones and has slightly colder highlights. It s an ideal starting point to colouring hair. Copper Natural (.04) The Copper Natural is indicated for those who love Naturals with strong vibrancy and highlight. The Highlights series Ash (.1) Ideal for cold highlights, to accentuate vibrant highlights of already coloured hair or to contrast warm tones which happen when lightening naturally dark hair. Medium level white hair coverage; for high white hair percentage it s best to mix with the Natural series to get 100% coverage. Beige (.13) For delicate highlights on fine and fragile hair; offering a great chromatic equilibrium for lightening naturally dark hair or when toning coloured or faded hair. For high white hair percentage, mix with the Natural series. Chestnut (.14) Best for those who love those mediterranean shades or who fully appreciate warm and intense shades. The darker tones ( ) offer great white hair coverage even without the aid of in the Natural series. Golden (.3) For warm golden highlights; good coverage even with high percentages of white hair. Revives natural colours, intensifies the vibrancy of those stronger shades without interfering with their brilliancy and lustre. Golden Copper (.34) Recommended for brilliant warm blondes. For good white hair coverage, mix with the Golden or Natural series. 10

11 Copper Gold (.43) These are vibrant chestnut colours in the medium range shades and delicate copper colours in the lighter shades. Good white hair coverage, for maximum effect mix with either the Golden or Natural range. Copper (.4) These colours have orange based highlights in the lighter shades leaning to chestnut in the medium range shades. For best white hair coverage, mix with the Natural series. Red Copper (.45) Marries the brilliancy of copper with the vibrancy of red; for white hair coverage, mix with the Natural series. Red (.5) For strong and vibrant highlights on medium range shades. For best white hair coverage, mix with either the Golden or Natural range. Mahogany (.6) Ideal for those who love calmer reds. Great chromatic equilibrium for medium to dark shades. For best white hair coverage, mix with a reduced amount of the Natural series. Viola (.71) These have been recently reformulated and intensified with blue to get a colder effect And to accentuate Violet. For violet highlights on dark shades; not recommended for direct application for blonde based hair whether natural or coloured. For best white hair coverage, mix with a reduced amount of the Natural series. Intense Copper (.44) For those who love full-on copper, with all its lustre and intensity. For best white hair coverage, mix with either the Golden or the Warm Natural series. 11

12 The Pastel Toners Formulated to revive light hair which has faded or is not coloured, or stressed hair which tends to quickly lose the colour highlights. The minimal quantity of Ammonia used and the usage of SENS.US Cosmetic Fix in the mixture make this a selective product, which can be used all over the hair without altering its regrowth. The cream is less thick in order to facilitate its use for specific technical treatments carried out directly at the basin. There are 4 tones according to requirements: Natural Beige (Argento)- Silver (Dorato)-Gold They are formulated on tones of 9-10, which means that unlike other toners, these do not have any tendency to darken. They are used in mixtures 1:2 esclusively with SENS.US Cosmetic Fix for time exposures which can vary from 3 to 10 minutes. Eg. 100 ml of Pastel Toner+ 200 ml SENS.US Cosmetic Fix This treatment can be given even more than once a month. N.B. Pastel Toners used on dark hair don t show any visible effect. 12

13 The Modulators SENS.US The G&P Laboratories have been able to include more aids in the colours, more precisely a combination of highly concentrated colouring substances. In synergy with these additional aids, the principal active components which enable colour penetration reduce its superficial tension, ensuring therefore an even deeper penetration. The Modulators are intensive colours idealised to modulate, reinforce and intensify colours from the colour range. From this pigment technology the Modulators are equipped with: Extraordinary brightness Highlights of intense colour Durable brilliance Perfect durability Shades: Red Yellow -Giallo Green Violet Silver Orange Blue Use to modulate: 15 ml Modulator+ 45ml SENS.US Cream colour+ 90ml di SENS.US Cream Activator and leave to process for 3-10 minutes For trend effects:: 2-3 cm of Modulator+ 60ml of Pastel Toners Natural+ 120ml of SENS.US Cosmetic Fix and leave to process for 3-10 minutes The Modulators are formulated on heights of tone 6, with exception for Yellow, which is on a tone height of 9. 13

14 THE SUPER HIGH LIFT It s a way of colouring which allows great lightening results, and avoiding in many cases the necessity of bleaching Shades: 11.0 SS Platinum Blond 11.1 SS Super high Lift Ash 11.3 SS Super high Lift Golden SS Super high Lift Beige 11.2 SS Super high Lift Pearl 11.7 SS Super high Lift Irisè The Super high lift Pearl and the Super high lift Irisè are the last two shades introduced to the series and they are excellent for those who prefer particularly cold blondes, thanks to their anti-yellow formulation. Dilution: 100ml of Super high lift + 200ml SENS.US Cream Activator to 40% Volume. N.B for Natural base colours higher than 7, excellent lightening is also achieved with 30% Volume. 15 Super high lift series do not cover white hair. To get a good result in this range, it s advisable to use it for 6/7 natural base colours. They are a special range which needs know-how and a different method of application from all the other shades: Divide the hair in 4 sectors and begin the application from the back portion. 16 IMPACT IMPACT RED & IMPACT COPPER are an innovative colouration for streaks which offer high lift and colour in only one step. The cream comes out of the tube already coloured thanks to the presence of Direct Pigments in the formula. Such pigments also guarantee the duration of the colour highlights even after repeated washings. Impact Use: The mixture is applied on dry unwashed hair isolating the locks which are to be coloured. Apply with a brush and wrap the locks with aluminium or other material. Dilution: 100ml Impact +150ml SENS.US Cream Activator 10/20/30/40 Volumes. N.B Don t use these two nuances directly on the scalp. The Impact series mixed together in small quantities with some shades give life to Trend colours which we have called Cocktail. Cocktail Mix These are unique shades obtained mixing ¾ of a shade and ¼ of Impact Red or Impact Copper: Cocktail mix Absolute Red ¾ ¼ di Impact Red = Sunrise ¾ ¼ di Impact Red = Pomerì ¾ ¼ di Impact Red = American ¾ ¼ di Impact Red = Manhattan ¾ ¼ di Impact Red = Samoa ¾ ¼ di Impact Red = Negroni Cocktail mix Coffee & Spice : ¾ ¼ Impact Copper = White Russian ¾ ¼ Impact Copper = Black Russian ¾ ¼ Impact Copper = Moretta ¾ ¼ Impact Copper = Nadar ¾ ¼ Impact Copper = Irish Coffee ¾ ¼ Impact Copper = Italian Coffee N.B It s of no use to try shades other than those shown previously to try obtaining other Trend effects as the resulting mix would not give any notable effect. 16

17 Application Techniques for SENS.US CREAM COLOUR HI PERFORMANCE First application on natural hair Colour roots, length and tips at the same time. Hair Length up to 4 cm. Leave in for the expected time depending on the selected Cream Activator : 30/35 min for vol. 40/45 min for vol. Colour length and tips, leave in for 20 minutes. Hair Length up to 15 cm. Remove excess product with a comb. Apply a new mixture on roots, length and tips. Leave in for the expected time depending on the selected Cream Activator (see above) Colour tips, leave in for 20 minutes. Hair length more than 15 cm. Colour length & tips, leave for another 20 minutes Colour roots, length and tips, leave in for the expected time depending to the selected Cream Activator. For each application ensure to remove excess product and apply new mixture. 17

18 Application of retouch Root retouch Length and tips highlight loss Apply on roots, leave in for 30 minutes Put the same product on lengths, and leave in for 5/10 minutes. At the end, massage for a few minutes and rinse. Root retouch Length and tips (loss of half tone) Apply on roots, leave in for 20 minute Then put the same product on lengths, reaching the expected leave in time depending on the volumes used N.B The leave-in time on length is strictly subordinated to the conditions of the hair structure. The Sens.ùs Clear is a Cosmetic Cream with the same consistence of SENS.US Cream Colour Hi PERFORMANCE, but without any colour pigments. This characteristic makes it a versatile product in the employment of the modern coloration. It can be very useful to resolve problems during technical treatments, or it can be employed for creating specific and personalized solutions. 1) Sens.ùs Clear mixed to the colour to modulate the tone and to increase the brightening of a shade. 2) Sens.ùs Clear for refractory white hair 3) Sens.ùs Clear with Cream colour for a new and delicate service on natural hair 4) Sens.ùs Clear to avoid intensifications of colour on sensitized hair 5) Sens.ùs Clear special for man! Mixed with Cream Colour for a natural coverage also on masculine hair 19

20 1) Sens.ùs Clear mixed to the colour to modulate the tone and to increase the brightening of a shade. In some cases in which the brightening of the oxidation colour is not enough to reduce the residual reflex of the natural hair, the use the Clear is recommended as a support for major lightening. It can be mixed with all the SENSU.US Cream Colour shades to modulate its tonality up to a level, without modifying the tone. Quantity: Varies from ¼ up to half tube of Sens.ùs Clear to a half tube of SENS.US Cream Colour. N.B This type of usage is not recommended for high percentages of white hair. 2) Sens.ùs Clear for refractory white hair In those cases in which white hair results particularly difficult to colour, use ¾ of Sens.ùs Cream Colour with the addition of ¼ of Sens.ùs Clear + the relevant oxidizer. 3) Sens.ùs Clear with Cream colour for a new and delicate treatment on natural hair A mixture of ¾ of Sens.ùs Clear with ¼ of a SENS.US Cream Colour shade with a ratio of 1:2 of SENS.US Cosmetic Fix can offer an initial colour treatment for those clients who are afraid or have some reservations about dyeing their hair. 4) Sens.ùs Clear to avoid intensifications of colour on sensitized hair Repeated technical treatments or weaknesses caused by other factors (such as frequent washing, use of plates or iron curl) make the capillary structure sensitive and this can create undesired toning or precipitations of colour tone. Using the Sens.ùs Clear as an aid to shades will help modulate the tone and will prevent the colour from intensifying too much. Eg. For a root retouch with 7.13 for length and porous tips, there is a risk of intensity on the tips. Apply the colour 7.13 in roots leaving it in for 20 minutes. On tips mix ½ of 7.13 with ½ of the Sens.ùs Clear with the same volumes of Sens.ùs Cream Activator used on roots. 20

21 5) Sens.ùs Clear Special for man! Even men these days feel the need to cover white hair. The negative aspect in colouring men s hair is that the results are often not so natural. Warm tonality colours can also fade fast which discourages the man to continue treatments. Sens.ùs Clear delivers a gradual reduction of grey hair, while maintaining the character of the natural base colour. 22 Colour Bath REFRESH: SENS.US Cream Colour with SENS.US Cosmetic Fix 1:3 This type of application commonly called "Colour Bath" is suitable for: Natural Hair: To emphasize tone and highlights Coloured hair: To revive the cosmetic colour between sessions Bleached Hair: To get delicious pastel highlights Moreover the Colour Bath REFRESH is the professional method to gently but effectively treat the lengths and the tips of the hair which can become particularly porous after frequent cosmetic treatments. Application Re-growth: Apply SENS.US Cream Colour Hi PERFORMANCE & SENS.US Cream Activator in the usual way to lighten and colour. 23 Tone on Tone: SENS.US Cream Colour with SENS.US Cosmetic Fix 1:2. Tone on Tone is the best method "to introduce" hair colouring to the most reluctant clients or to offer them less involved treatments because the release of the colour will be more delicate and will not create unpleasant regrowth effects. This kind of application is suitable for: White Hair: Ideal to harmonize and to mask white hair, especially in those cases where the client is reluctant to colour completely Natural Hair: For a gentle introduction to hair colouring Application: Apply at the same time (in the dilution previously recommended) the selected shades on roots, lengths and tips. 24 COLOUR REMOVAL Rinse and post-treatment: Step 1. Emulsify the colour with water until the mixture becomes as consistent as a soft cream. Only then the autowashing properties of the colour can be fully exploited. The rinse the hair under running water until the last trace of colour has been taken off. Step 2. Wash the hair with specific non aggressive shampoos distributing uniformly and massage gently. Step 3. Apply a conditioner with ph acids so that the capillary fibres are completely closed and all alkaline remnants are completely eliminated. Leave the conditioner in the hair for approximately three minutes, then rinse well with abundant water. 24
