5 XJTLU Vision A Joint Venture between Xi an Jiaotong University and University of Liverpool. Agreement signed 2004, first students Its vision: To take the best of the UK and Chinese HE systems to create a new educational experience To develop programmes of study that will equip graduates for employment in the Suzhou Industrial Park and beyond To develop a research presence in collaboration with industrial and commercial partners, complementing Liverpool s research-led agenda To be a truly international University and a leader in teaching and research
