1 INFO GUIDE Welcome to The Color Run by Lipton Ice Tea! This information guide has been put together especially for you to provide you with all of the important information you need to make your Color Run experience memorable. There are two important steps to take before we get started: 1) 'Like' our page on Facebook to get the latest The Color Run news: 2) Read this document all the way through. You'll be glad that you did! A QUICK LOOK AT ALL IMPORTANT POINTS From past experience, we know that some Color Runners do not read this document all the way through We made a summary of the important points in this info guide for all of the fast Color Runners out there. After you have gone through this summary, we still recommend going through the whole guide thoroughly to ensure that you are well prepared for Sunday 7 September. Only participants with an e-ticket can enter the site of the The Color Run. Only a small part of the course will be open and visible to family and friends. The start, finish and the festival grounds are not. Doors open on Sunday 7 September at 12 noon. After handing over your e-ticket at the main entrance, you will be given your race kit including your race number, T-shirt and wristband. You can also pick up your race kit in advance at Tour & Taxis on Saturday 6 September between and 15.00hrs. We strongly recommend you do so to avoid queuing on Sunday! For further information regarding timings and the location for picking up your race kit, please go to the 'PICK UP RACE PACKET section on the next page. There will be a supervised bag drop zone (storage area for sports bags) at Tour & Taxis. Make sure you bring enough money with you to be able to treat yourself to some food and drinks and/or purchase some cool The Color Run gear at the Merchandise Store! Tutu s, socks, tops, shorts will be available. The color powder is colored maize starch that is 100% safe and biodegradable. For protection and cleaning tips, see the 'THE BIG CLEAN-UP' section. Lipton Ice Tea provides everyone with a pair of flashy yellow sunglasses at the start!

2 You can start between 14.00hrs and 16.00hrs. You will be allowed onto the course in waves of 250 runners, so you don t have to rush to the start at 14.00hrs. No stress, Sunday 7 September is all about enjoying your day and having fun! PICKING UP YOUR RACE KIT Saturday, 6 September: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Tour & Taxis Sunday 7 September: 12 noon p.m. Tour & Taxis To avoid queuing on Sunday, we recommend dropping by on Saturday to pick up your race kit. Bring your e-ticket along to pick up your race kit. You can also pick up the race kits for friends/relatives. If you do, you must bring their e-ticket with you. No e-ticket = no race kit. If you have paid for your e-ticket but have not yet received it, please contact us as soon as possible at info@golazo.com. When you turn in your e-ticket, you will receive the following: Color Run T-shirt (unisex), size: XS, S, M, L or XL. Start number Temporary tattoos The Color Run sweatband Wristband that gives access to the festival grounds. You will receive the icing on the cake, your own bag of coloring powder, as a reward at the finish. Save the bag for the collective 'throwing moments', i.e. the Color Blasts during the festival. It will be worth the wait! Extra powder can be bought at the Powder Dealer for 2 EUR per bag, of which 1 EUR will be donated to Think-Pink (breast cancer charity). ACCESS Access to The Color Run (start, finish, festival grounds) is restricted to those with a wristband that has been issued in exchange for an e-ticket at the main gate on the day of the event or the day before (for those who picked up their race kits early). Part of the course outside Tour & Taxis is accessible for friends and relatives. To be very clear: the start, the finish and the Color Festival are not open to the public. Each participant will receive the race kit described above at the main entrance (or on Saturday). IMPORTANT: Your e-ticket can only be scanned once! If you lose your wristband, you will NOT be able to have your e- ticket scanned again and YOU WILL NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE COLOR RUN. So don t forget your wristband if you picked it up on Saturday!

4 GETTING THERE The Color Run is held at Tour & Taxis at Havenlaan 86c, Brussels. The start, finish and the festival are all at Tour & Taxis. No parking is available in the Havenlaan or on the course. We advise all of you to avoid the hopeless search for a parking spot close to Tour & Taxis and travel by public transport. Leave your car stress at home and get to the finish line in a happy mood! A bikepark will be located at the entrance of Tour & Taxis where you can lock up your bike (with your own lock). Please note it will be unguarded so leaving your bike will be your responsibility. If you insist on coming by car, leave it in the transit parking facilities near the underground stations. From there, you can travel to Tour & Taxis by public transport. Share your car with other travellers to The Color Run.

6 SUNDAY, 7 SEPTEMBER: TIMINGS noon The Color Run opens! 2 p.m. The official start shot of The Color Run Brussels. 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Departure of waves every three minutes with short fun warm-ups before each start. 8 p.m. End. You can now call yourself an official Color Runner! Welcome to The Color Run family! BAG DROP ZONE & CHANGING ROOMS There will be a supervised storage area for sports bags where you can leave your kit with the Color Run team. Please note your stuff needs to be in a closed bag, loose items will not be accepted. There is no charge to use the bag drop zone. We do advise everyone to leave their valuables at home, however. There are changing rooms available on the grounds but please ensure that you are almost changed when you arrive so you only have to put on your Color Run T-shirt. Bring a plastic bag to place any colored clothing in! In case you go home by car, it may also be a good idea to bring a towel for you to sit on to avoid your car undergoing a color-invasion. FOOD AND DRINK There will be several food and drink stands set up on the grounds. Make sure you have enough cash money to indulge before and/or after the run! No alcohol will be served to Color Run participants under 16 years of age! Think-Pink will sell pink cava to raise funds! Make sure to pass by and enjoy a glass of this sparkling awesomeness you ll be enjoying a drink for charity! THE WEATHER We are doing everything we can to ensure that The Color Run runs according to plan. In case it rains The Color Run will go ahead as planned and the colors will be much brighter.

7 MERCHANDISE STORE Saturday and Sunday we will sell The Color Run merchandise. You ll be able to purchase awesome The Color run clothing and gadgets. Make sure you have enough cash on you! The merchandise store will be open between 10am & 3pm on Saturday and between noon & on Sunday. See below a few of items that will be available!

8 THE START Starting at 2 p.m. when the first start shot is fired, a wave of 250 runners will depart every three minutes. Please remember this is not timed. So there is no point in taking off and fighting for a good position. Take your time and enjoy the The Color Run experience with your friends and relatives. Important: you do NOT have to be at the start at 2 p.m. You can start in any wave until 4 p.m. If you wait a while before starting, you won't have to queue for long. LIPTON ICE TEA SUNGLASSES Lipton Ice Tea will be giving each of you a pair of flashy yellow sunglasses when you line up at the start! COLOR ZONES Each kilometer of the run is entirely color-themed. Km 1 is pink, km 2 is green, km 3 is blue and km 4 is yellow. The finish at km 5 is the entrance to the festival and is not a color zone. When participants arrive at a color zone, they will be covered in COLOR by our Color Heroes! The color is a special 'made by elves' recipe of magical color powder. All of the products are 100% natural and safe. It can be a tad unpleasant to get the color powder in your eyes. That is why many Color Runners wear sunglasses to protect their eyes. As mentioned above, Lipton Ice Tea will be handing out free sunglasses and you can also buy special The Color Run branded sunglasses at the merchandise store. Contact-lens wearers are especially advised to wear protective sunglasses. You can also wear a bandana or buff. Fashionable The Color Run/Think-Pink buffs are available for sale at the Merchandise Store or at the Think-Pink booth. When you buy a buff the money will be going to Think-Pink (breast cancer charity). Please do not stop in the color zones...this can cause back-ups and traffic jams with the runners behind you. THE COLOR RUN FESTIVAL The fun doesn't end when you cross the finish line! At the finish, you will receive a piece of Flandria fruit, a Meli waffle and a delicious Lipton Ice Tea, as well as your own bag of colored powder. Our DJ s will invite you to join the party on the festival grounds! Eat, drink, dance and celebrate your achievement! COLOR BLASTS Every 20 minutes, starting at 3.20 p.m., we will count down with the DJ to a collective Color Blast (or throw) which results in the renowned cloud of color! Everyone throws their bags of colored powder into the air, resulting in spectacular sights! If you want to purchase extra color: you can! Head to the Powder Dealer where you can buy a sachet for 2 EUR, of which 1 EUR goes to Think-Pink!

9 WHAT ELSE? Lipton Chill Zone: take photos of you and your friends in the mirror, upload them onto Facebook or Instagram and take a breather in the beachloungers! Chase the phototeam of New Balance for a photo in a frame! Grab the frame and click your photo will be available on their Facebook page. Leave a message on the SMART car. Discover the newest camera from Garmin called VIRB, at the Garmin stand! Visit the booths of Primo, SMART and Lensonline! Dance, throw powder and have heaps of fun Support Think-Pink and the fight against breast cancer through purchasing a The Color Run Buff (5 euro) or by indulging in a glass of pink cava at the Think-Pink bar. The pink buff you ll be wearing during The Color Run will show your commitment to this cause! Think-Pink is the national breast cancer campaign. Think-Pink provides financial help to breast cancerpatients and survivors, invests in awareness campaigns, scientific research and an extensive exercise and race programme: check it out on Think-pink.be. RULES AND SAFETY To make sure that everyone has a FANTASTIC time, we have drawn up a few rules: If you are walking with a pram or a stroller, please start in one of the last waves. If you are walking with small children, keep a good eye on them and accompany them along the route. Runners on the left! Walkers/dancers on the right! Dogs (and other animals) are not allowed. No alcohol will be served to participants under 16 years of age. Do not bring any valuables to the event. If you are concerned about the safety of the powder, please feel free to take appropriate measures to protect yourself (sunglasses, bandana over the mouth, etc.). Please follow the directions of our team & the volunteers. Please be patient when necessary and show respect for one another!

10 AFTER THE COLOR RUN Congratulations! You have just run the craziest 5 km of your life! Take a couple of minutes to clean yourself up before you get powder all through the house. Try to pad yourself down as much as possible before starting with water. You can also use our on-site blowers to blow most of the powder off you. Hair cleaning: firstly brush all of the loose powder out of your hair. Then rinse out the oil-leave-in conditioner with cold water. You can then wash your hair normally. It may be possible that you will see some traces of color now and then over the next couple of days, but this will disappear eventually. It is probably even more difficult to wash the color out of your white clothes. Something to be proud of! Remove all of the excess powder from the clothes before starting with water. We recommend soaking your clothes in cold water first with Vanish Oxi Action or a similar product. It is possible that you encounter a colored spot in the period immediately following The Color Run. A lovely memory, not soon to be forgotten! VIER During The Color Run, you will see a camera crew from VIER who are going to be busy filming...you! Wave to the camera, do a little dance, show to world just how much fun you're having! Don t be shy! A few days after The Color Run, a mood movie made by VIER will be posted to The Color Run Facebook page and website. We already know it's going to be great! 11 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Do I have to be a trained runner to take part? No! Many 5 km running events are all about the time. The Color Run is all about having a crazy, color-filled day with family and friends. You can run, walk, crawl, or even dance! Can I take part with a stroller/pram and children? Under one condition...if you are willing to be the coolest mother/father to cross the finish line! As long as your children have a good time, all children up to and including the age of 5 years old can take part for FREE! They will not get their own starting packs, though. Can I bring my dog (or other animal)? NO DOGS (or other animals) are permitted in The Color Run :-( Is there a minimum age requirement for young participants? No. There are no age requirements of any kind! As long as you can run, jog, walk, crawl or dance for 5 km, you can take part in The Color Run 5 km! Participants from the age of 6 years old have to have their own e-tickets, though. How strict are you about the 'white dress code' at the start? We have a special 'white clothes' police squad on site to make sure everything goes to plan! If your attire on the day consists of more than 11.8% non-white, you will be arrested and thrown in The Color Run gaol! Was the previous answer a joke? Yes! As long as you wear a shirt that is more or less white, we have no problems. Trousers don't have to be white, but it's more fun if you start in white and then finish up completely colored. Will the powder ruin your clothes and shoes? There are usually not too many difficulties in cleaning the colored powder out of clothes and shoes. The same general principle applies as with all washing: the sooner you start, the easier it will be to get the color out. We advise wearing clothes that you won't mind getting a little more color. If you want to keep the colors in your shirt after the event, spray vinegar on the shirt and iron it. Over time, as you wash it repeatedly, the colored powder will eventually disappear. 12 THE BIG CLEAN-UP After the event, you are going to want to keep the memories with you forever. If you would like to bid farewell to the colors, though, we have some tips for you. Preparation By oiling your hair in the morning, it will be easier to rinse the color out of your hair. Coconut oil is a nice, oily cream or oil that you could use. A good leave-in conditioner is also very helpful. Many runners protect their hair with a scarf or bandana. Others use a bandana to protect their mouth. Whichever you chose, using a scarf or bandana during The Color Run is quite handy! If the weather is nice, you should wear sun block and lip balm. We also advise wearing sunglasses. Children should wear diving goggles or a diving mask. That will protect your eyes from getting colored powder in them. The color will disappear over time. Even so, it's probably wise not to wear your most expensive running shoes/trainers for The Color Run. Will the 'color zones' affect your eyes or breathing? The Color Run colored powders are made of natural, organic maize starch. It is 100% SAFE. You will want to keep it out of your eyes as much as possible, of course. Our 'Color Heroes' will be aiming below eye level as much as possible as you go by. Some Color Runners wear glasses or sunglasses to protect their eyes; others wear a bandana or mouth cover to protect their mouths. We strongly advise participants who wear contact lenses to use safety goggles or diving goggles. We strongly advise participants who have asthma to wear a mouth protector or bandana. Are showers available? No! Dusting your clothes off is usually sufficient to get most of the powder off. With a good dust-off, you will not be 100% clean, but you will be clean enough to ride home. It's even rather funny to see the colored people going home after The Color Run. Think of it as your battle scars! What will the colored powder do to my car's interior? Most people take some hand towels along with them for use in the car. It's not any worse than driving home in a wet swimming suit after an afternoon dip. :-)

13 Are spectators allowed to come to The Color Run after-party? Unfortunately, no. It is a closed party especially for the participants of The Color Run! So your friends and family members will not be able to join us if they haven't participated themselves.
