1 BIO 103: ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE: ECOSYSTEMS AND MAN SYLLABUS LECTURE/LAB HOURS/CREDITS: 3/3/4 CATALOG DESCRIPTION Prerequisite: RDG 099 Introduction to College Reading III The impact of human activities on ecosystems will be explored. Topics will include fundamentals of ecology, how ecosystems function, conservation of plants and animals, overpopulation and world food/hunger problems. Lab experiences focus on natural resource monitoring and ecological investigations. TEXTBOOK AND COURSE MATERIALS It is the responsibility of the student to confirm with the bookstore and/or their instructor the textbook, handbook and other materials required for their specific course and section.
