3 2. Product Range and description Z-Wave RH sensor is a battery operated humidity sensor which is able to measure humidity changes and deliver the information to an associated device in a network. The sensor is defined in Z-wave as an enhanced slave. The humidity value is measured every 20 second and is then compared with the previous measured value. If the value is greater than the specified delta value, it will send the new humidity value to the associated devices. Delta value is Configurable (see section 3). Inclusion and exclusion is done with a push button. The sensor is due to Z-wave compliance able to work in multiple vendor networks. Because the device is a slave, it will not be able to function as a repeater in a network. 2.1 RF Frequencies The Z-Wave RH is intended for operation in Europe MHz 2.2 Product illustration The photo below serves as illustration of Z-Wave RH. 3

4 2.3 Maintenance In order to make inclusion/exclusion please gently remove the little white cap and the knob on the front side. Loosen the screw, and then gently remove the front cover. Changing batteries is done the same way. 4

The device gets reset to factory default when it is excluded from the network. The device can receive commands during wakeup. When the device is included it is awake for approx 30 seconds.
