2 1. Standards PON interface comply with the following Recommendations ITU-T GPON G to ITU-T GPON G Transmission specific cations The interface operate over single fiber architecture, mainly on the ITU-T G.652 A and B type optical cable, but also on ITU-T G.652 D type. Duct and aerial sections can be mixed in the network. The bit rates downstream (2488,32Mbit/s), upstream (1244,16Mbit/s) of optical interfaces comply with the requirements of clause of ITU-T G (03/2003) Recommendations. Splitting ratio of 1:128 is supported according to ITU-T Recommendation G (02/2003) Chapter 12. The physical reach of the PON interfacee is minimum 20km. The differential fiber distance between two PON interfaces is minimum 20km. The offered PON interface support downstream security: AES conformity to clause 12.2 of ITU-T Rec. G (02/2004). The encryption could be switch on/off on the PON interface and the AES encryption is established per ONT basis 3. Physical layer The type of the PON interface is supporting 28 link budget according to ITU-T Rec. G Amendment 1. (02/2006), based on G-PON module for Class B Downstream direction: OLT transmitter (Old) Operating wavelength range: 1480 to 1500nm Line code: Scrambled NRZ 3.2 Upstream direction: OLT Receiver (Olu) Operating wavelength range: nm G-PON module for Class B+ of Romtelecom satisfy the minimum requirements according to G Amendment 1 (Industry Best Practice), Table.1/G Table 1/G Optical power levels for the 2.4 Gbit/s downstream,1.2 Gbit/s upstream system OLT: Items Mean launched power MIN Unit Single fiber OLT m +1.5
