5 EMJMD Award Criteria (1) Relevance (max 40 points 30 points needed for progression) "jointness"/integration, design and structure Structure and description of the programme, modules, teaching methods, input of associate partners. integration in the partners' degree catalogues Award of the degree, joint /multiple, accreditation. 5
6 EMJMD Award Criteria (1) Relevance needs in the academic field References, needs analysis, employability / labour market relevance programme and learning outcomes Attractiveness, awareness of other programmes, instrumental mobility EMJMD consortium and internationalisation: benefits of student and staff mobility Staff benefits, complementarity of expertise, language studies (credits) 6

8 Project design and implementation (max 20 points) excellent academic content internal and external QA, complementarity student mobility and involvement of scholars/guest lecturers preferably names, lecture content, home HEI services to students and academic staff joint application/selection, balanced info on services before and during, insurance (Guidelines!), equity course rules, student rights and obligations (academic, administrative, financial) student agreement (Guidelines!), scholarship management integration/networking of students within socio-cultural and professional environment internships, employer fairs/meetings, JDAZ (Management, section 1.7) Interaction with non-educational actors EMJMD Award Criteria (2) JDAZ (Management, section 1.7) 8
9 Quality of the project team & the cooperation arrangements expertise of the involved partners/staff Also academic input by visiting scholars, Skills and expertise of key staff comparable format for all partners institutional commitment of partners; governing bodies and management tools Consortium agreement Guidelines! EMJMD Award Criteria (3) joint criteria for student application, selection and admission requirements, examination and performance evaluation financial outline of the EMJMD, including complementary funding Cost estimation, budget, use of lump sum, allocation of availablefunds among partners. 10 EMJMD Consortium Agreement Institutional commitment of all organisations participating in the EMJMD consortium. In line with the principles of the European Charter for Higher Education (ECHE), it must cover all academic, operational, administrative and financial aspects related to the implementation of the EMJMD. Definition of the roles and duties of the consortium partners and of the joint governing bodies of the EMJMD consortium Description of the academic programme, design of the programme/semester structure and establishment of the mobility paths Financial Management: definition of student participation costs and the establishment of a multi-annual budget Definition of a development and sustainability plan Clear roles concerning the joint promotion/awareness-raising activities and the marketing aspects Consortium Agreement guidelines: 10
11 Impact and dissemination (max 20 points) EMJMD Award Criteria (4) sustainability strategy, mobilisation of other funding sources for scholarships and self-funded students institutional impact and internationalisation strategy Impact at institutional staff and student levels, assessing results, links to strategy entrepreneurship, involvement of employers and employability of graduates Labour market relevance promotion, dissemination and awareness raising strategy, excellent students Channels, target groups promotion of course materials and media through open licences (if relevant) 11

The opportunity for students to live a unique experience A convincing needs analysis, clear European added value Distinctive academic quality; involved academics dynamic, internationally active with links to society and research. Clear area of expertise and complementing role of each partner. Active dialogue with the employers/surrounding society, and concrete information of their involvement. Constructive approach to past performance (renewals) A logically written proposal (coherence between the different parts of the proposal) and a well explained project (activities and content are clear) Erasmus+ Evidence of a common will to build an integrated programme
13 Additional scholarships for 9 targeted regions Applicants may apply for maximum 12 additional scholarships for one or more regions/countries of the world (14 geographical windows) African, Caribbean, Pacific countries (ACP), Asia, Central Asia, Middle East, South Africa, Latin America, Eastern - Southern neighbouring countries, Gulf countries Financed through the EU external funding instruments For Asia, Central Asia and Latin America regions specific priorities apply! For Middle East, there is a specific window for Iran 13
14 Award Criterion for additional scholarships Relevance of the project in the targeted regions (max 5 points) The proposal describes the methods used to attract highly talented students from the targeted region(s). Partner HEIs, thematic networks, conferences, alumni, industry contacts, societal actors, study fairs, Embassies The proposal encourages cooperation with HEIs and/or other eligible participating organisation from Partner Countries in the targeted region(s). The added value of such cooperation to the EMJMD is clearly explained. Need for this specific academic expertise, associated partners, scholar mobility 15
15 Lessons learnt from EM Master Courses (EMMCs) Invest in internship programmes Participation of non-academic organisations in curriculum development and performance evaluation Develop complementary competences for EM students entrepreneurship, communication, multicultural skills etc. relevant for the profile of the students Business and marketing plans for academic and financial sustainability Outreach activities to raise visibility and recognition of awarded joint 16 degrees among academia and business community
