1 PACK 459 UNIFORM GUIDE & INSIGNIA PLACEMENT Pack 459 follows a Waist-up uniform policy. That means that our dress uniform consists of items from the belt up. In a desire to keep costs manageable for our families, we do not require any special pants/shorts, socks or shoes. However, close-toed shoes are required for all nonaquatics events. Refer to the BSA Uniform and Insignia Guide for complete, official details. Our standard dress uniform ( CLASS A Uniform) consists of the following items: TIGER CUBS, CUB SCOUTS & WEBELOS: Official Dress Uniform Shirt Tiger, Wolf and Bear Scouts this is the navy blue shirt Webelos have the option of wearing the navy shirt, or the khaki Boy Scout shirt If the khaki shirt is worn, navy shoulder loops ( Epaulettes ) must be worn Official Hat (specific to rank) Official Neckerchief (specific to rank) PROVIDED BY THE PACK Official Neckerchief Slide (specific to rank) Official Cub Scout Belt (navy in color with Scout buckle) Official Cub Scout (navy blue) Shoulder Loops, also called Epaulettes Plus the following Insignia: Universal Scout Emblem (purple circle with white fleur-de-lis emblem) Atlanta Area Council shoulder patch Pack 459 Unit Number Patch CUSTOM PATCH, PROVIDED BY THE PACK Den stripe (for your assigned Den) WEBELOS: Patrol patch replaces Den stripe (if worn); Tricolor optional Journey to Excellence Patch PROVIDED BY THE PACK Rank badges, Progress toward Rank and other awards/insignia as earned Special awards, as earned (e.g., religious emblem, perfect attendance, service star) Temporary badges (Only one may be worn at a time, always on the right pocket) Examples: Honor Unit, Cub Camp, Special Event patches, etc. LEADERS: Official Dress Uniform Shirt - khaki Official Scout Belt (olive drab in color with Scout buckle) Official Cub Scout (navy blue) Shoulder Loops, also called Epaulettes Plus the following Insignia: Universal Scout Emblem (purple circle with white fleur-de-lis emblem) Atlanta Area Council shoulder patch Pack 459 Unit Number Patch CUSTOM PATCH, PROVIDED BY THE PACK Den stripe (for your Den); for Webelos Leaders, Patrol Patch replaced Den stripe Journey to Excellence Patch PROVIDED BY THE PACK Leadership Position Patch (e.g., Tiger Cub Den Leader; Pack Trainer; Cubmaster) Leader service knots, as earned Name tag Temporary badges (Only one may be worn at a time, always on the right pocket)

2 NECKERCHIEF & SLIDE 1. Making small, tight flat folds, continue to roll the neckerchief until approximately 6 of the point remains visible. 2. A tight fold will help prevent bunching. Ironing the neckerchief as you fold it will help it hold its rolled shape. 3. Place the neckerchief around the neck, and under the collar. 4. Secure with the appropriate neckerchief slide for your rank. Scout-made slides may also be worn. TIP: Avoid lost neckerchief slides by doing the following: After placing the neckerchief slide in place, take one end of the rolled neckerchief and feed it behind and through the back of the slide again. Pull the end down in place. This locks it in place.

Leader Knots for rank awards, Eagle Scout, Arrow of Light, and adult Religious Emblem. Wear centered above pocket, up to 3 per row. BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA Worn only if fluent in other language(s). Stripes available at the Scout Store. Special pocket flap patch worn only if earned for special program/membership.
