3 KAREN KG GARY First, I d like to give you a little background on myself. I ve been doing hair for 22 years. I have always been good at cutting and styling hair. But when clients wanted longer and stronger hair, I would shy away from the opportunity to help them because that wasn t something that I knew a lot about. Eventually, when working with my clients, I discovered that giving them a few simple suggestions to follow between appointments changed the future of their hair! I have had so much success with my clients that I have to share this information with the so many other women looking for help with the same issues.

8 THE ANATOMY OF HAIR There are facts behind my method. First we will begin with the anatomy of hair. The hair is made up of three layers: Cuticle Cortex Medulla

9 YOUR HAIR AND THE NATURAL PROCESS Cuticle Skin Sebaceous Gland I will tell you about the cuticle layer - the skin of the hair. It protects the hair shaft and holds it together. Your body naturally produces its own oils. There is a sebaceous gland that is strategically placed next to each strand of hair - regardless of race - for nourishment and protection.
