Energy Impact: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reports that data centers consume as much as 20 times more energy per square foot than a typical office building. And with the proliferation of data that doesn t seem to be slowing down, the demand for both data center space and energy to run those facilities will just get more intense.
