1 Thanks for your today, we had a lovely weekend and hope you did to. We cannot say often enough what a great day we had for our wedding and everyone agreed. The food, the room, everything was perfect. We couldn't have asked for any more from all the team At The Strand. Every single member of staff, from yourself and John, to the young guy in the residents bar who kept us going until the small hours, was so helpful and kind it made our day and night so easy. Nothing was to much trouble. We knew when we were booking The Strand, that it was a great hotel and it more than lived up to our expectations. We would love to send you on some photos from our day. We will be collecting our album in the next week, so will you them as soon as we have them. Audrey and Liam - May Thank you so so much for everything you and the strand hotel did for us. We had the best day of our lives and we would not change a single thing! The strand hotel was the decision we made in relation to our wedding even if it was only 3 months before the big day! All our guests loved the hotel, food and service too. It really was a five star experience. Thank you for being the best wedding coordinator Mairead, you made our planning so easy! Gary & Natasha March I just want to write a quick note to say thank you so much for all your help with our wedding, it was an amazing day for us and you and your team really did make the day that bit more special as they had everything covered. I was particularly impressed with Dave and John the operations guys, they really handled everything in their stride and their professionalism is a credit to themselves and the Strand Hotel. Overall, i would recommend the strand as a wedding venue to anyone that was considering picking a venue, from start to finish everything was handled with ease and professionalism. 2 I couldn't let this weekend pass without complimenting your amazing team at The Strand Hotel. From the receptionists, the bar staff, the waiting teams, the porters and the kitchen teams (food was brilliant for the entire weekend) the housekeepers and finally through to the management team everyone absolutely everyone contributed to the excellent reputation of the Strand Hotel. I don't believe you would experience better service in any hotel in Ireland. I am sure you are very proud of everyone, what an execution of a wedding, the day after party and the overnight stay. Your efficiency, friendliness, help and assistance took a lot of the stress out of the wedding preparations. As you could see we had lots of little ideas and filled your office with decorations and bits and bobs to decorate the room. Nothing was ever a problem, Olivia it was just lovely working with you. You were always on the other end of the phone or within minutes. It isn't easy planning a wedding at home while living in London but with your efficiency and always there to help I never had to worry about the reception side of things. The food was ABSOLUTELY out of this world. Everyone was talking about how delicious it was. We had a fantastic day at the tasting and the chef was so flexible and went over and above our expectations. The strawberry santa's were also a hit! Thank you! Gene & Daniel - December We had our wedding reception in the strand hotel on 28th December 2013,& can't recommend it highly enough! Sebastian, Olivia & all the staff were professional, organised, & sohelpful throughout the entire planning & on the day. We found that thistook all the stress out of planning the reception because every single detailwas covered in our meetings with the hotel. The food was superb & the "Cloche" service impressed all ourguests! Many of our guests stayed in the hotel for the full weekend & everybody found the bar menu, & in particular the breakfast menu were fab. We stayed in both the Bridal Suite (fabulous!), & also a standard doubleroom. Both were very comfortable, warm & quiet, with great views. Marie O Hurley December On the 6th October 2012 we held our wedding reception in the Limerick Strand Hotel- we couldn't have made a better choice!! We had the most magical day from the moment we arrived to the moment our heads hit the pillow. From the very start of our planning process with Carly (almost two years ago), we were treated with nothing but the utmost care. She went through everything with us from the menu -to the seating plan -to decor -to crazy bridal meltdowns-the list is endless! Carly-we could not sing your praises higher, you were an utter joy to work with from start to finish (we miss you!) and we both felt that in your hands our big day would go without a hitch-you are a credit to your team, they should be extremely proud of you. To James who was with us on the day-you were a joy to work with and we had great fun! You took care of us and all our guests to the highest degree - we felt truly spoilt and our day went without a hitch! To the rest of the staff at the Limerick Strand - thank you for making our day a memorable one, you were all so friendly and obliging and each and every one of our guests commented on how they have never come across a team so helpful, friendly and downright wonderful - so thank you each and every one of you. The meal and service during was fantastic-we have always heard great praise regarding the food in the Limerick Strand and you did not disappoint -very happy guests indeed!! The decor on the day was absolutely beautiful- from the drinks reception to the Shannon Suite function room (which was indeed fit for a princess) the little extras from the kiddies colouring competition to the quirky menus made the day extra special! In all we had the most wonderful wedding day and the Limerick Strand played a huge part in bringing that happiness about - we could not recommend them enough for holding the most perfect wedding reception. 5 We would like to thank the team at the Limerick Strand Hotel for a flawless wedding reception we had on the 25th of August last. We had chosen 3 final hotels in Limerick out of 12 we had visited! My brother, Jerry who owns always sang the praises of the hotel and we always trusted his judgement, and we were glad we choose you. From the initial meeting and several communications with Olivia. The menu tasting under Tom, the high service standards under Sebastian's direction and James that took over the PM duties at our reception we would like to say big thanks! We had many guests that stayed, with a good few that worked in hospitality and hotels. One of our relations is a banqueting manager at the Dorchester on Park Lane in London where she was also impressed with the standards! The hotel, rooms, food and the whole team are a credit to you and your team. We got several compliments from our wedding guests about the wow factor of the hotel, the staff, modern hotel, cleanliness, service and food. It s no wonder that the Limerick Strand Hotel, won the best wedding venue All Ireland Thomas & Marian O' Sullivan. - August Myself and Eoin would like to thank Olivia and the team at the Strand for a wonderful day. From day one we have had such a pleasure dealing with you and cannot speak highly enough about the hotel, we had family come from the states and they were looked after so very well even my 93 year old grandfather was well looked after. We would ask that Sebastian gets a special thank you from us, from the moment we arrived at the hotel he could not do enough for us till the moment we left on Sunday he was there looking after us and his subtle little touches really made a huge difference to our special day. Aishling & Eoin - September Our wedding was above and beyond anything we could have expected. I'm sure you're aware from all our guests just how much of a great day you and the team provided. The food, service and overall feel of the Strand was first class and we'll continue to recommend the hotel to everyone although anyone that was present on the day I don't think there will be need to! Alan and Kim O'Connor We would like to thank our Wedding Coordinator, Aishling Murtagh and the rest of the staff for making our wedding a wonderful day everything went really well and people were really impressed with the room and the views from the City View Suite. Brendan and Therese O Loughlin March We would like express our heartfelt thanks to the Strand Hotel Staff, especially to Aisling Murtagh our designated wedding planner who was an absolute pleasure to deal with and helped us with planning every finite detail ensuring we had a magical wedding day. One of the highlight of the meal was the co-ordained Champagne pop! Our guests were bowled over by the whole atmosphere in the hotel, as many of our guests travelled and stayed for 2 and 3 nights; they were very impressed by the rooms, food and professional friendly service throughout their stay. SarahJane & Mark Blake -December "They made our wedding absolutely perfect My wife and I had our wedding reception at the Strand on the 16th of December last. Where do I start? We chose the City View Suite as we had 100 guests. It proved to be the perfect choice. For the time of year the lights outside framed with the night time lights of the city made for a picture perfect setting. I'd like to extend a whole hearted thank you to the GM-Sean, our wedding planner-carly, banqueting manager-sebastian and of course head chef-tom. Our families and friends who attended are still talking about the great welcome, food and all round great show you put on for us for the three days we stayed with you around the wedding in December. You have a great team with what I can only describe as that hospitality X factor. My parents came up to visit us last weekend and nearly booked in for the weekend. Unfortunately they had to stay with us but maybe sometime soon they will be back to stay with you. John & Angela December - via trip advisor Everything about The Strand Hotel on our recent wedding day was superb. To begin with our guests were very impressed with the welcome reception in particular the waiting staff who were effienct, helpful and friendly. Many raved to us on the day about the food, service and decoration of The Shannon Suite in particular the Cloche Service. One guest told us the mushroom soup was the nicest they had tasted. Another local guest told us the hotel is the nicest they have stayed at in Limerick. So we are delighted we chose The Strand Hotel to host our wedding reception and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as a wedding venue. Very special thanks to our hotel wedding co-ordinator Aishling Murtagh. Our wedding was in very safe hands from the outset and with her help our day went off without a hitch. Deirdre Murphy & Mike Ready - October We would like to thank the Strand Hotel for a wonderful wedding in September Top of the list of big Thank you's has to be Aishling Murtagh, our wedding coordinator. She ticked every box and we would have been lost without her. All suggestions from layout of room to menu etc. were considered and she just made the planning all so easy. We booked the 6th floor for our drinks reception and it didn't disappoint. It was a beautiful sunny day and gave all our guests a birds eye view of our wonderful city. We moved to the Shannon Suite for our main reception which was beautifully laid out, big plus with this room is everything is contained within the same area e.g bar, toilets, smoking area are all on the same level so it keeps everyone engaged for the day. We went with a travel theme so we had different bits & pieces we wanted on the tables etc. and everything was done perfectly. Sebastian Schmidt looked after us on the day and displayed excellent attention to detail, he didn't miss a trick. The food was genuinely amazing, a few of my guests (including Family) are chefs and compliments were sent by the dozen back into the kitchen. We had met with Tom Flavin to go through our menu options and he was so accomodating. One of our main choices was Sea Bass which people are still talking about how delicious it was. We wanted to add bread & butter pudding to the desert choice as it was one of my Dad's favourite and without knowing the reason Tom didn't even hesitate to include it. Again, he kept things simple & straight forward, just a pleasure to deal with. The bridal suite was simply stunning and was huge! Talking about the day now is bringing it all back, we would do it all over again. It was the most perfect day, the only problem was, it went too fast!! We would recommend the Strand to any couple that would like: 1) to provide a central location for their guests whilst still feeling like you're in your own little world, 2) Be looked after by the most professional team of people I've come across in the hotel industry 3) Delicious food and great atmosphere and 4) If they just want a Great Day without having to worry about

Karen & Anthony - September From the moment we announced our engagement we both knew the only venue we wanted for our reception was the City View at the Strand Hotel. We had been there before for a family function and the views from the room are phenomenal, Thomond Park, King John's Castle the river Shannon and the City look spectacular from that height. The Staff at the hotel are friendly and extremely professional, Aishling was our Event Co-Ordinator and she just goes out of her way to help and thinks ahead all the time, I can't speak highly enough of her. We really enjoyed the night of our tasting, it is a nice touch, Tom the Head Chef met with us at this point to fine tune the final details on the menu. On the day itself the staff went out of their way to make our day as special and memorable as possible, from the drinks reception to the function room it all looked beautiful. The meal and service was perfect, I can honestly say we couldn't have chosen a better venue for our wedding day and would highly recommend the Strand Hotel to any couple thinking and having their wedding reception there. I certain also the the happy couple had a ball and were delighted with the service, facilities, food & gerneral approach show to them. The Hotel (After some persuasion from the Groom) sourced the meat for the mains from a Local butcher in the city - and OMG what a reaction. It seemed not one carnivore on the day didnt praise the quality and delight in have such a enjoyable meal - within such numbers. The Staff were a delight and counld do enough for you - no price can be put on a smile and a genuine interest in how the Bride & Groom & every guest was enjoying the day. 8 I want to thank you very much for all your assistance in planning the "perfect" wedding reception. Everything was just as we expected, and more. The friendliness of the staff, service, quality of food, etc. greatly impressed every guest. The Strand Hotel can be very proud of their staff for representing it so well. Everything about the venue was perfect and I don't use that word lightly. The food was outstanding based on the crowd we invited were big grubbers, we didn t have one complaint just all complements. One guest quoted that it was the best meal he had at a wedding in years!!. The service was fantastic, and the physical facility was beautiful. Our guests were blowen away at how the Shannon suite was dreamingly decorated. The management of the event was instrumental in making it all work smoothly and this would not have been so perfect only for the help of the hotel s wedding co-ordinator Carly.

9 A massive high five to the strand for making our wedding the best day of our lives. Mr & Mrs Hartnett March The ultimate stay for a wedding to remember with great pleasure The view of the city and the Sarsfield Bridge twinkling at night from the 6th floor wedding reception suite could have been from anywhere spectacular in the world, some guests likened it to being in New York. The tables and chairs were tastefully dressed in keeping with the occasion. Guests commented on the dress of the waiters and waitress including their immaculate gloves. The wedding meal which was delicious started with a surprise appetiser for all the adults. This was followed by a choice of 3 starters and 3 main courses with a special vegetarian main for one guest. The dessert choices and the wines were excellant. The best surprise was saved until last when carved ice swans were brought to each table - white and black grapes were in the centre whilst attached moulded spoons held a selection of amazing petit fours. The children were delighted to see a swan land on their table and all were photographed with hands outstretched towards it. It was great to have a private bar and a place for our band to play away from the rest of the hotel. Our room during the 6 night stay was a city view suite with lounge area, luxurious bathroom and enclosed balcony overlooking the Sarsfield Bridge (which was lit at night). We loved this room with it's fabulous view and comfort. A newspaper was outside our door every morning and bottled water was replenished daily. The service throughout the hotel was courteous and of high quality. Breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of foods to choose from. Stayed March via Tripadvisor Just to let you know that everyone whom we have been speaking with since the wedding has raved about the Limerick Strand Hotel. Among other things everyone loved the food and the service from the arrival reception to the afters and many a person has commented on your lovely christmas decorations. From Tommy and my point of view it was a wonderful experience dealing with you and the rest of the staff from start to finish, we had a ball on the actual day itself, but god did it fly. 10 The staff at the Strand who made our wedding such a successful and special occasion, we wuld both like you to know what we found the whole experience of planning our wedding with the Strand an absolute pleasure from initial meetgins with Carly & ClaireAnn to the tasting dinner to the actual day where we were blown away by the level of service and incredibly high standard of food. We visited many hotels which we lovely and ultimately both agreed that the Strand was for us. We are so pleased that we held our celebration in the Strand; it was definitely the right choice. We would certainly recommend anyone searching for the perfect venue to choose the Strand. The wedding was held at the Strand & I cannot find enough superlatives to describe was an excellent location this was for the wedding. Besides the well appointed rooms and spacious suites (friends of our upgraded for 30 & got an large suite facing the river), the staff were both helpful and efficient. The food both at the wedding & the next day (BBQ) were of a high standard & the general consensus from guests at the wedding was it was an excellent venue. I was not privy to the cost, but if it is within budget - it is a location I would highly recommend. For those of you who are business travellers, I have done my share of staying in hotels & this is an excellent location. Close to the city (but without having to drive into the centre) & you can make an easy escape to the airport if necessary. Considering I worked in hospitality for 10 yrs (including 5 star hotels in Whitsundays & Ayres Rock) I can confirm this is as good as anywhere I have worked or stayed. Best Man - June - via Tripadvisor We would just like thank the hotel for our five star quality wedding day; it was without a doubt one of the best days of our lives. We felt the need to spread our experience to every potential wedding couple as we couldn t recommend the hotel highly enough. From the glass of champagne on arrival to the tea and sandwiches at four am the phrase sheer perfection comes to mind. We were greeted by amazing LED glass plated canapés along with an elegant champagne reception in the hotels private wedding banquet area which contains the ballroom, two bars, dance floor, stage, toilets and even a smoking area so your guests don t have to stray too far from the action, it is totally private and comes complete with everything you could need for a superb wedding evening. This brings us to the highlight of the evening which of course was the food. Our menu was designed by the hotels head chef Tom Flavin, who personally prepared and cooked our taster meal helping us make our final menu decisions. The meal on the day of the wedding was without question the best wedding meal we have ever tasted this was also expressed by our wedding guests on and after the day itself.

11 The meal was polished off nicely by a champagne pop which like the service was run to perfection by Sebastian Schmidt. We also got the most beautiful petits fours served on iced swans one for each table, amazing to say the least and totally unique. We just had an absolutely fantastic wedding day thanks to all the staff at the hotel definitely the best wedding venue in Limerick.
