Once a fire has broken out, it s crucial to prevent it spreading to other rooms. The VarioDoor Europa is effective on the spot and from the instant the fire breaks out, in other words long before the fire service arrives. As a T-30 fire resistant door to DIN 4102 it is tested and approved by the relevant building authorities. A major hazard is posed by the life-threatening smoke fumes which develop when a fire breaks out, often claiming more victims than the fire itself. The VarioDoor Europa can be supplied with standard frame profiles for a variety of solid wall structures or for prefabricated walling, making it the ideal choice for conversions, extensions and renovations. As a smoke-proof door (optional extra) the VarioDoor Europa complies with the German Industrial Standard DIN and thus offers long-lasting smoke protection. The standard equipment of the VarioDoor Europa includes a construction hinge and a spring hinge. Small hinges and 3-way spring hinges are also available as optional extras. The VarioDoor Europa can be equipped with an upper door closer and a lowerable bottom seal. 4

The VarioDoor Europa is sound-proof according to DIN EN a benefit that you will greatly appreciate, especially if it s a door to a youngster s bedroom, to an office, workshop or garage. Keep the cold out and the warmth in. The VarioDoor Europa is thermally insulating to DIN (U = 1.3 W/m 2 K). This quality makes it an ideal connecting door, e.g. between the hallway and an apartment, boiler room and wine cellar, residential building and garage and much more besides. A black plastic lever handle set belongs to the standard equipment. Plastic handle sets in other colours as well as handle sets in stainless steel and aluminium are also available. When fitting a lock with anti-panic function, we recoend using the corresponding bar handle. The long-awaited light-weight New findings resulting from fire and smoke research have led to the development of an entirely new generation of doors, distinguished by a reduction in weight (approx. 20 % lighter than previous door generations) and a higher quality design in terms of both shape and surface finish. 6
