DOUBLE ACTING SELF CENTERING - STEER DAMPER The combination of offset steering knuckle and specialsteering dampener eliminates flutter movements and provides exceptional tracking. SWING ALIGN The industry s fastest, most convenient and least expensive axle alignment system. Requires no replacement parts or disassembly. Axle alignment is achieved by direct adjustment of the lead screw, requiring less than 250 ft. lbs. of torque. MULTI-FUNCTIONAL PIVOT BUSHING A more robust bushing with exterior void design limits the twisting movement that could lead to premature bushing and tire wear. AIR ACTIVATED BACKUP LOCK Automatically holds wheels straight when vehicle in reverse. 3 AXLE SUSPENSION SYSTEM HEAVY DUTY STEERING ARM Robust design for improved durability. Precisely machined to adapt to standard heavy-duty tie rod end. THRUST WASHERS Double set of thrust washers one on either face of pivot arm. Completely sealed against dust, dirt, moisture and other contaminants. SAF INTEGRAL DISC BRAKE Lightest-weight design on the market today provides reduced stopping distances while significantly lowering service costs and downtime with a Bi-Metallic rotor and maintenance free hub and bearing assembly. SAF X-SERIES 5.75 DIAMETER AXLE Various axle tracks available for dual and super single applications. LEADING KING PIN DESIGN ADJUSTABLE TIE ROD 2-3/8 hardened pin with Durable design with adjustable lubricated bronze bushings. tapered ends allows for length adjustment (toe-in) and centering. SAF DRUM BRAKES Features a SAF X-Series 5.75 diameter with 16-1/2 x 7 extended life brake linings. Permits immediate reaction to side thrust when cornering and allows the whole rig to steer through the turn. BLACK ARMOUR IS STANDARD WITH ALL CBX SERIES SUSPENSION SYSTEMS Reduced Rolling Resistance Less Frame and Suspension Damage Reduced Maintenance Reduced Tire Wear Greater Maneuverability The BLACK ARMOUR metal protection process, unlike a primer, paint or powder coating, chemically bonds with metal to form a protective skin that is impervious to water and anti-icing chemicals. BLACK ARMOUR is top coat compatible without pre-sanding and remains flexible to resist gravel impingement. If scraped, BLACK ARMOUR inhibits the spread of rust creep.

4 OPTIONAL LIFT AXLE SYSTEMS CBL (CENTER BAG LIFT) The lightweight CBL features a proven, simple axle lift that provides ample ground clearance. Installation is easy and the below frame mount location fits in tight clearance applications. HEAVY-DUTY POSILIFT SAF DRUM BRAKE AXLE NOW AVAILABLE The SAF CBX SSA drum brake configuration features a SAF X-Series 5.75 diameter axle with x 7 extended life brake linings and industry standard parallel spindles. Light and durable, the SAF heavy-duty PosiLift provides a twin bag lift solution where a conventional Center Bag Lift will not fit within the trailer chassis (e.g. hoppers, bottom discharge bulk tankers, etc.). The lift system allows the self steering axle to be lifted while backing up, tight maneuvering in a yard, or when running empty (as regulations allow). AIR SPRING OPTIONS For off-highway trailer applications the CBXSSA can be configured with convoluted style air springs to maximize axle up travel and provide ample ground clearance.
