1 Pro ProNet investing in your future VoodooSMS ProText User Manual Enable SMS within RDB ProNet by installing the VoodooSMS ProText Plugin for a cost effective SMS solution. Getting started with VoodooSMS for RDB ProNet is extremely simple. You ll be up and running within a matter of minutes!

3 1 - Create a VoodooSMS Account You need to register an account with VoodooSMS. We have created a unique offer for RDB ProNet clients which offers the lifetime low price of just 2.2p per SMS and 1,000 FREE credits. click FREE ACCOUNT (screenshot 1.0.1) screenshot
4 The FREE ACCOUNT icon will direct you to our regular signup form: (screenshot 1.0.2) screenshot Once the signup form has been completed, you will be sent a verification SMS to your mobile with the temporary password for the next step. After entering the password sent to your phone, you are asked to create a new, more memorable password and set the security question and answer. This is used if you ever need to reset your password in the future. Your VoodooSMS registration is complete. We have now assigned the 1,000 FREE credits and applied the special rate of 2.2p per SMS. 5 Finally, we supply you with a API username and password which is entered in RDB ProNet. This is not to be confused with the VoodooSMS Portal username and password you have just generated in the previous steps. VoodooSMS Portal Username/Password This is used to login to for: Account Management Add credits Download Invoices Send Promotional SMS Campaigns Reports etc. API Username/Password This is used in RDB ProNet to use the account you just created on the VoodooSMS Portal. In Step 2 and 3, we will show you how to install the VoodooSMS Plugin and configure it in RDB ProNet. 6 2 - Install the VoodooSMS Plugin in RDB ProNet Within RDB ProNet, navigate to the RDB Store (screenshot 2.0.1) screenshot When the RDB Store is open, select the category Text Messaging. Select Voodoo SMS, then click the INSTALL button which is found at the right side of the page. (screenshot 2.0.2) screenshot
7 A window will open titled Install - VoodooSMS Plugin Package. It s your choice which users you apply VoodooSMS s plugin to (ALL/THIS USER/SELECT USERS). (screenshot 2.0.3) screenshot Once installed will change to this 3 - Configure the VoodooSMS Plugin in RDB ProNet Before the VoodooSMS Plugin can be used within RDB ProNet we need to specify the VoodooSMS account username & password, and set who the text messages should be received from Apply the VoodooSMS API Username & Password In RDB ProNet to add your VoodooSMS API Username and Password, navigate to File > Manager > SMS Account. 8 screenshot The SMS Account Manager pop up will open (screenshot 3.1.2). Here we need to enter the VoodooSMS API Username & Password in the SMS Username and SMS Password fields. screenshot All other fields here can be ignored. 06
9 3.2 - Specify who messages appear from (SenderID) The SenderID is who the SMS will appear from. You have the ability to specify a name such as Your Brand and when a text is received to the phone the message will appear from: Your Brand There are limitations to a text SenderID. There is a maximum of 11 characters, using letters A-Z, numbers 0-9. Hyphens and spaces are allowed, but other special characters are not permitted. It is possible to use a numerical SenderID such as a mobile number e.g , this will allow users to respond to texts. To configure this you will need to speak to both your VoodooSMS account manager and your RDB ProNet account manager who will be able to configure this in your account. To configure the SenderID we need to navigate to the RDB Store, found at (File > RDB Store) Double click the VoodooSMS Plugin which should have been installed in Step 2. A window will open titled Plugin Package Manager Click the VoodooSMS Plugin, then click Options VoodooSMS Options will open where you are able to specify your SenderID or Reply Number. 10 3.3 - Set SMS Send Limits (per user) Designed to meet the needs of RDB ProNet users is the User Limit feature. When configuring users within the RDB ProNet Plugin options you are able to enable access to your RDB users, and set a daily limit, enabling you to manage a users spend. (screenshot 3.3.1) screenshot The user limits are simply set by clicking in the plugin bar at the top in the screenshot. Clicking on the plugin for SMS limits and then simply entering a number into the daily allowance column. The screen below also acts as a report on the SMS number sent. (screenshot 3.3.2) screenshot
11 4 - Example Usage & Screenshots There are various ways you can communicate with candidates via SMS in RDB ProNet. This can be on an individual basis, or you can send multiple SMS for outstanding tasks such as timesheets. 4.1 Sending SMS from RDB ProNet - Notebook Navigate to your Notebook in RDB ProNet then select a user to text. (screenshot 4.1.1) screenshot To contact the user by SMS, select SMS under Actions. This will open a dialogue box where you can write out your outbound text. (screenshot 4.1.2) 09

13 4.2 Sending SMS from RDB ProNet - Contact Lists From your contact lists, it is possible to select multiple contacts to send a message to all. The example below shows Timesheets: Approval Status = Awaiting Submission, and then to take action to communicate a simple, effective follow up via SMS. (screenshot 4.3.1) screenshot

15 5 - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) 1. I ve registered an account but didn t receive the special pricing or 1,000 FREE credits? You registered at the normal voodoosms link, speak to your account manager at VoodooSMS they will be able to upgrade your account, allowing you to take advantage of the free credits and lock in the preferential rate of RDB ProNet customers. 2. The pricing seems too good to be true and your competitors say you use cheap routes? We love to hear this one, it means that they re frightened and using cheap tactics to scare you off! Our guarantee to you is that we only use the UK Mobile Networks to send your SMS. We will never use a substandard service for our clients. And the pricing is guaranteed for the lifetime of your account with us. 3. Is My Data Secure with VoodooSMS? Yes. We constantly reinvest in our network infrastructure to provide you the optimal service and security. 100% of our website and hosting sits behind the highest level of SSL (Extended Verification) which is the same security that many banks use. 4. My Username & Password doesn t work to login to VoodooSMS? The username to login to is the one you specified when you registered. If you have forgotten the password then use the Forgotten Password feature on the login page. If you have any issues, please contact your account manager 5. My SMS Username & Password doesn t work in RDB ProNet? You can verify the API Username and Password that was setup for you when you created your account in the Voodoo SMS portal. Simply login to the portal using your portal credentials, then go to Send SMS > API Management 6. How long is a text Message? A standard SMS is 160 characters long. It is possible to send longer messages but they will use multiple SMS credits. The Long Messages are calculated in multiples of 153 characters so a message using 2 SMS/Credits has a character length of Can I send SMS Internationally? Yes, but this is disabled by default so you will need to contact your VoodooSMS account manager to enable it. The pricing varies considerably depending on the destination you want to send your SMS. Speak to your account manager to get a quote and enable it in your account. 13
16 8. Can I send an SMS to a UK landline? Yes, but this is disabled by default so you will need to contact your VoodooSMS account manager to enable it. The pricing is the same as UK Mobiles. 9. How long is the SenderID? You have the ability to specify a name such as Your Brand. This means when a text is received, the message will appear from: Your Brand. The limitations to a SenderID is set to a maximum of 11 characters, using letters A-Z, numbers 0-9. Hyphens and spaces are allowed, but other special characters are not permitted. 10. Can a User Respond to a Text? Not if you have set a SenderID. To enable 2 way SMS you need to use a Reply Number or Virtual Mobile Number. Contact your VoodooSMS account manager to enable this. 11. Can I Send Messages in Other Ways? Yes. Your account also gives you access to where you are able to use the platform to upload contacts, send promotional SMS Broadcasts out and setup other API username/passwords to use on other websites and applications. 12.
