3 Torq-Matic Automated Floor Wrench The Canrig Torq-Matic fully automated floor wrench sets the standard for performance and reliability. The combination of an articulated arm, PLC control and a remote control function provides the optimum in personnel safety and operational efficiency while simultaneously enhancing drill pipe life. Features The wrench offers a variety of safety features: Remote controlled capability allows the unit to be operated from the driller s console or from various rig floor locations Multiple system lockouts ensure instantaneous shutdown capability if an unforeseen event occurs Manual operation allows the operator to perform specific unique tasks and can be used in situations where automatic operation is not possible The wrench offers a Pipe Profiler feature which allows multiple torque values to be preset and selected with one touch of the operator interface. Once the profile has been selected, the wrench will provide precise makeup for every connection, significantly improving tubular thread life. Each Torq-Matic model can handle a wide range of tubular diameters without changing dies.

5 USER FRIENDLY FEATURES Integrity and Safety Tong and arm junction boxes deliver vastly superior watertight integrity and also provide zone 1 (tong) and zone 2 (arm) hazardous area ratings without the need for an air purge system. Durability Type P Marine and Offshore armored cable provides superior resistance to oil, abrasion, moisture, sunlight, drilling fluids, crush and impact damage in all weather conditions. Protection Junction box guards for both the arm and tong junction boxes are easily removable for service needs, yet robust enough to protect junction boxes from impact damage. The result is superior watertight integrity and protection for the internal electronic components. Traction Improved spinner rollers have better gripping capabilities while actually reducing the clamping pressure and minimizing shock and wear on the spinner roller bearings. Precision The auto-position upgrade automatically rotates the wrench to positions preset by the operator, enabling precision movement and reduced cycle times. Efficiency The quick-release attachment and pocket adaptor significantly reduce the time required to secure the wrench to the rig floor and reduce the number of bolts which the rig crew must secure. Longevity The hydraulic bypass kit allows the wrench to be warmed up without activating the spinner rollers, improving safety while reducing wear on the spinner assembly. Simplified Maintenance New features like the Grease Manifold System and the use of bearing materials and pins that do not require greasing make it easier for rig crews to maintain their Torq-Matic wrench.
