2 Ecological drives Introduction Electric motors are becoming an increasingly popular type of drives on yachts. Yacht owners choose this solution mostly because of the comfort of sailing without any unnecessary noise and vibrations caused by traditional motors. Another advantage of electric motors is the fact that they do not produce exhaust fumes, therefore they do not pollute the environment. Furthermore, this type of drive gives the possibility of sailing through the waters included into zone of silence, unavailable to yachts with standard combustion engines. We offer complete electric drives of various brands. To each yacht we select a set with proper power, which directly reflects on the time of sailing without calling at the port. 2

Highly efficient performance of the drive and the use of a relatively large propeller is enabled by high torque and low rotational speed. 12 HybridMaster - general characteristics HybridMaster drives possess brushed DC electric motors with permanent magnets and high torque and low rotational speed. This enables use of the motors in drives with combustion motors up to 45 km with relatively big screw propellers and achieving drive's high efficiency. Owing to their small sizes (width only 152 mm) there are unlimited installation options. With fully automatic electric motor controller, the drive only switches on when conventional drive gearbox is in neutral. When the combustion motor is running hybrid drive motor is used as a generator and charges drive batteries. 29 Travel general characteristics Travel 1003 motor (S and L versions) with capacity of about 3 HP is a perfect, light and very powerful motor with battery attached to the upper body. The battery weights only 4.8 kg and has a large capacity of 520 Wh. On average it lasts for 1-4 hours of sailing. It is recharged with a small charger supplied by the company with the motor. The battery has no memory, thus it can be charged at any moment. Colorful flashing diode indicates charging, while continually lit red diode indicates fully charged battery. It is possible to buy extra batteries. Each battery is equipped with GPS module. Tiller with variable speed control is equipped with an electronic display the same as in the model Cruise T. Travel 1003 is a perfect choice for leisure boats, fishing boats and small yachts. 29

Each new Cruise model with a lever has built-in GPS, which calculates the speed and distance in nautical miles or kilometers. Both motors require the same power as Cruise R. Cruise 2.0 T is a unique offer suitable for medium size yachts and boats with displacement up to 3 tonnes. 32 Cruise 2.0R / 4.0R - general characteristics Cruise 2.0 R is the equivalent of a 5-6 horsepower motor. This is confirmed by a number of tests and the practice of users. To supply power two high quality gel cells or AGM batteries are necessary (battery capacity from 100 Ah to 150 Ah), connected in series: 2x12 volt or 4x12 volt (4.0R version). All connections must be made of thick copper multicore cables. Their ends should be tightened in copper and zinccoated or silver-coated tips. So-called Andersson sockets and plugs are suitable. To charge the set, a high quality 24 V charger is necessary, always mounted near the charged batteries. 3-stage, waterproof chargers are a good solution (IP 67). Charging time of two 2x12 volt batteries is hours. Cruise 4.0 R is a 48 volt outboard motor with thrust of 9.9 km. In comparison with petrol outboard motor, Cruise 4.0 R is waterproof (IP 67) and protected in case of going under the water for up to 1 hour to a depth of 1 m. Cruise 4.0 R is dedicated for boats which are steered with remote control and remote throttle as well as for boats steered with a rudder.
